The league has never done this before.

I know. It was a work out, which teams normally schedule individually, and this time the NFL scheduled it. Still, free agents are normally expected to show up on a couple day's notice for a work out when individual teams schedule, so it was not out of line for the NFL to expect him to be ready when they offered him this opportunity.

He must have run out of settlement money. I know one thing, if I sued an employer I wouldn't then go back and work there again.

If you sued an employer, you would have other employers in the same field to work. The NFL is a monopoly. There is no other place to go.

Lmao, so now we ignoring qbs stats. He was part of the trash on that team. His numbers werent even impressive the year they went to the sb
No I didn’t say ignore stats I said quit picking and choosing which stats to ignore. He had 16 touchdowns and 4 picks the last time we saw him. Nobody could do anything with that trash. The point isn’t if he’s good or bad. The point is he’s better than most of the trash in this league at quarterbacks. You have a personal grudge towards him and that’s fine. But admit it.

Apparently 8 teams drove the hour or so to see him.

https://nfltraderumors.co/eagles-ch...d-reps-on-hand-for-colin-kaepernicks-workout/

The NFL's official statement said there were originally 25 to watch him, so that means about 17 left when he changed the time and location.

It's not that he changed the location. Unless he signed a waiver removing all rights to legal actions, he would be banned from working out at that site.

This was a sham offer; the league wanted him to sign a waiver that would remove all future actions against the league. If the NFL did not add language to the first settlement avoiding all future collusion by the NFL, that's their fault.

This is too dumb for a proper response. None of those leagues are the same level as the NFL.
But for a guy that wants to play for an NFL team again, reestablish yourself elsewhere. How many of these "private" workouts did he conduct before this one?

An anonymous scout said he had elite arm talent. Well I'm sure Favre still has elite arm talent but he ain't coming back. What a joke.

Keep it real!

Was Kap offered a contract by the Ravens and/or Broncos a year or so ago?

Thats an interesting decision on his part. He had to know it would upset some teams. Supposedly it was done for a more "transparent" process.

There was also a hang up on the injury liability waiver, of which the nfl claims they sent a standard one but it was rejected by Kap and his team sent back their own.

Its a lot of he said she said at this point. Im not sure how moving locations at the last minute would make things more "transparent" though.

I dont think this helps his chances of playing.

Agree 100% but remember all it takes is one team. I honestly believe Titans, Bucs and Bears will have strong discussions about signing him. None theses team have time to break in a rookie. All are loaded with vet and in a win-now mode.
