Having a puppet serves no purpose so you recommend another puppet.

Defend him as the best puppet cause it's about Jerry then throw him in the trash heap cause it's about Jerry.
My issue is once the decision has been made its time to move on.

And my argument is predicated on the notion I believe Garrett is gone. So, why keep a Lame Duck HC??

It’s always about Jerry cause he puts us in these situations. His ridiculous public bumblings after Patriot game created this toxic atmosphere .

I believe its best for Cowboys Football down the stretch. And I don’t believe a Lame Duck HC is this environment reeks success.

The toxic talk is just clickbait. I would be all for making a change if we had at least a decent assistant we could bring up. But if you're not confident that they are your next HC then why take that chance leading the division? That's poor football. Not to mention we play in a couple days.
I wouldn't recommend it today. After Thursday night we’ll have 10 days. But I would have pulled the trigger after Buffalo. Another embarrassing loss in Chicago maybe everyone will be ready.

Don’t need a preferable replacement to move on. Marinelli has been a HC. He’s more than capable to fill in. He doesn’t have to be a candidate for the next HC.

This isn’t about qualifications. This is about moral and motivation for the team which in effect a Lame Duck coach can’t provide anymore. The toxic atmosphere has been widely discussed and mentioned throughout the media if you pick up a paper , tune in the radio or flip a channel.

I’m shocked more fans don’t at least want to try and shake it up. Unless you actually think there’s hope Garrett can right the ship and lead us to a championship .

I know that’s what Jerry’s hoping so he won’t have to look for another HC possibly giving up his power for a Named HC but I can’t believe we actually have fans that believe it. Whatever . Lol

There's nothing to shake up. There aren't better options to replace JG because the FO doesn't have his replacement available. Until someone has a legit idea, it makes no sense to dream of this magically scenario where another coach comes in and we win games.

If Garrett is why we aren’t having more success why do you want to leave him in place?

Firing Garrett is the first step towards winning .

When Garrett leaves, Cowboys won't magically win in the post season ; No... its the first step.

Its about talking steps toward greatness .

Garrett is a roadblock to success & thats why I really hope Giants sign him !

It's insane to keep Garrett around knowing he struggles to beat good teams, has poor in-game instincts, and is likely incapable of winning a super bowl. Fire him, promote Richard to HC and see if he can light a fire under these guys for the stretch run.

The whole world knows that JG's ceiling is too low for a run in the playoffs. No point in keeping him.

Garrett could be a very good front office guy. But It would definitely benefit us if JG is a coach in the NFC East for sure.

I wouldn’t count on it. If Garrett can influence the roster he has here then the Mgmt in NY could prove to be less toxic leading to more competition than they currently are.

CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
ARE YOU GUYS NUTS????????

Please feel free to list all of the HC's fired with 4 games left in the season and leading their division by 1 game. OK, I will leave a lot of space here for that lengthy list.

I swear, sometimes I think being a Cowboys fan has dimmed some wits around here. This is one of the all time award winning crazy ideas I've ever seen here and proof the Booger Effect is on full display. First symptom, you just ain't thinkin' right.

Booger is in total agreement with you. Thats how you know you are likely wrong or not understanding the problem.

Some will think this is a trick question; and will somehow try to spin it to blame dak .

C'mon everybody focus. When have the Cowboys had success? Tom Landry, Jimmy Johnson, Bill Parcells. Coaching matters.
Yep but then Jerry hires Barry Switzer, Chan Gailey, Dave Campo, Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett.

He either forgot coaching matters or priorities have changed ?
