I would like to hear your plan on how we can hold Jerrys feet to the fire and FORCE him to change or sell out .

Jerry is a man committed to being good at his Hobby like nobody in the history of the game , Worse is he has so much money that no matter how bad he screws up there are never any consequences that FORCE HIM TO DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN WHAT HE WANTS TO DO!!!

The brutal reality of it is we are completely at his mercy and can force him to do nothing . Its us who have to change or sellout and follow another team . There as many people who follow this team hoping they lose as there are wanting us to win . Jerry wins either way . Other than a natural disaster maybe a Meteor hitting the stadium at half time there is no change in sight .

But feel free to give me a real course of action that would bring about change in a reasonable amount of time like before we waste Dak , Zeke , Amari , The Oline and Dlaws careers . Im on board to help in any way I can because the pain of watching this dysfunctional mess is again after a small reprieve in 2016 becoming more than I can bare
When I first begun my boycott campaign back in 2008 there was a direct path to stopping Jerry which fortunately tens of thousands of long time season ticket holders like myself followed.

But once the new stadium was built, Sponsors inked, season tickets sold and most importantly PSL’s committed to .. game over. The fans lost direct control as we had previously had.

We still can limit our merchandise purchases and viewership which won’t him as hard.

Local viewership already is hovering around 25% which normally is over 40%.

But I’d argue without empty seats and a big hit on revenue it won’t get Jerry’s attention.

I don't know what you're arguing, ES, my friend. My point is that we're so bad, Miami fans are pointing it out.

There should be one voice and it should come from the head coach,” Aikman said. “The players should know that. The owner ultimately makes the decisions, we all know that. He’s the one who signs off. But I think there has to be one voice and one person the players answer to.”

Amen Troy

I heard this quote on The Ticket, he prefaced it with something to the effect of... "I've been in the locker rooms of several teams, Patriots, Rams..." he rattled off a bunch of teams sorry I might have gotten the teams wrong.

But he made the point of saying he has seen how other teams are run and what Jerry is doing with the Cowboys is not built for success. Which seems like common knowledge, but not to Jerry.

Just like I have said about some politicians..., if every fortune 500 company was looking for a new CEO, ZERO of them would hire them if they were available.. same goes for the other 31 teams, ZERO would hire JJ as a GM if he sold Dallas tomorrow.

At a certain point, instead of proving that he can win his way, Jerry's going to expose the rest of the world to what we already know: Beyond the money, he had little to do with the super bowl run that gave him his legitimacy in the first place. At a party last week in NE, 4-5 people asked me if Jerry was always such an incoherent delusional mess. Never seemed to be a subject - it's usually smack talk about choking in January.
I’m one of Jerry’s biggest critics but on this point I’d argue Jerry was involved intensely with Jimmy and if not without his support in making some huge deals Jimmy wanted we wouldn’t have had the success.

The problem was in Jerry wanted more public credit or at least closer to what Jimmy received. That was all on Jerry’s ego not Jimmys.

Jimmy wasn’t going out of his way seeking it. It just naturally came to him from the media and fans who saw Jimmy as our darling savior. Jerry couldn’t handle that and why we are where we are a generation later.

It was never enough for Jerry to just receive credit for making a great hire and assisting Jimmy. Jerry wanted credit for being a football guy too. The rest is history.

True and why he bought a team so he could force his way into this lifestyle he cherishes.

I hear you I buy no merchandise but I do watch the games as painful as the have been .

Definitely agree that stadium needs to be empty to even get Jerry to raise an eyebrow and I just dont see that happening .

We are. But they’re worse. Ryan Fitzpatrick is not a great QB, but he IS a professional. The local high school hero shouldn’t be so snarky.

It all goes back to his Arkansas days with his buddies who became HC’s.

Jerry’s always had the passion to be a Football Guy with his attempt to buy the Chargers in late 60’s.

Owning a team provides Jerry a celebrity status way of life in football without the direct accountability associated working for someone else.

Basically he’s bought his way into the life he’d always wanted in football. All at our expense.

Right, and I know that about Jerry. Guess I'm looking at from a rational viewpoint about what made them successful to start vs the last 25 years but he won't ever get that. From the football side I just don't get how he doesn't see it.

Because you're looking at the wrong scoreboard. Forget the playoff record the last 20 years and look the Forbes rankings where Jerry is #1. So why change when you can both win financially and you get to be comfortable and have fun at the same time?

And now he's even in the Hall of Fame, which in his mind validates him even more.

Yup, but it still doesn't make sense to me or make me happy..Jerry too stubborn to reflect on the real football side

If I'm POTUS and I fill my table with knowledgeable experienced people, we can do a decent job. But if I fill my table with Jim Bob from the gym and Lil' Tony from the pub then we about to mess the country up.

Jerry is only as good as the information he's being feed. And apparently someone has gotten it into his mind that DT's ans SS's are never a big need. Jerry was owner when we had Darren Woodson, Roy Williams, Leon Lett, and Russell Maryland. So in the past Jerry didn't mind spending high draft picks on those positions. He didn't have that put anybody at those positions attitude, but here lately they've been over looking those positions.

What I'm saying is they need to clean house. Jerry and Stephen are going anywhere, but from McClay on down...Good bye. Every single last coach on that sideline, good bye.
Absolutely.

However, the point remains. Jerry put himself in charge. He's responsible for all of it, every hire.

I don’t really expect those invested in tickets to leave their money on the table. And Jerry doesn’t care if the stadium is infiltrated with opposing fans .

It will be up to this new generation of Cowboy fans to force their will. I’m not involved anymore , less emotionally attached and watch from a distance.

I’ve put my enthusiasm and activity I have left into following my Amateur schools on Friday Nites and Saturday’s . I love football and the intensity of attending my teams game.

I no longer can invest myself financially or emotionally with a team that’s not making every effort to win. But I do find comfort in talking about it with other disgruntled fans and it helps venting. I hope my memories , passions and insight can serve some purpose for others.

Jerry is amazingly insecure. He craves the spotlight and “credit” like no sports owner I’ve ever seen. The only owner that comes close would be former Yankees owner, the late George Steinbrenner.

What’s crazy to me and hard to understand is that if Jerry hired a great GM and let that guy hire a great HC then stepped back, if that team won a SB, Jerry would get a ton of credit. But he can’t do that. He’s a very strangely insecure billionaire who has a deeply imbedded chip on his shoulder. He would rather continue being irrelevant in the playoffs than give up any of the spotlight. It’s literally crazy.

It does amaze me how the most successful people are the most insecure. Like when a millionaire superstar has a burner account on Twitter and gossip forums to defend themselves.

I'm sure Jerry has one in here.

I’d argue that Jerry wouldn’t have wanted that early success if he wasn’t going to be credited for it.

And why he was so willing to let the key person go. Who runs off a back to back championship HC?

I’m not sure why fans don’t think Jerry gets it. He just doesn’t care enough to get out of the way.

Maybe.

IMO, we're starting to see some cracks in the armor. I believe Jerry has finally cracked, I think he's finally reached the frustration level. Don't get me wrong, he's not a football guy, so he has no idea why he's losing, but the bottom line is he's losing. If he can hire someone who can take us to the next level, Jerry may feel as if it was him. So, I don't believe it's beyond hope.

If he wants every important football decision to go through him maybe he should learn about football.
