I would have rather been wrong and eaten crow about this guy because it would have meant a win for the Cowboys so I’d rather be constructive about this situation

For Gods sake, can we at least get some serious competition next season at the Qb position? This franchise has a long history of resting on its laurels when they think they have the right guy at Qb

Let’s draft higher than 4th round and get some serious talent to compete for the single most important position on the team. The Patriots have a history of drafting talented Qb’s even when they had the best Qb on the planet.

I’m fine with it. I have argued it’s risky in the past. And I still know it’s risky.

but it’s a risk worth taking.

cause he's slow and has no moves? When you are down you have to throw. the plays were there but neither the qb or wr wanted them.
Zeke looked great in the 2nd half. He was better than Dak today. Every receiver on the field had single coverage. The rest of the defense keyed on Zeke and we still ran it. Look to 2014 for the blueprint. a solid d Murray ran for 1800 because we had a real qb. Romo right now would be better than Dak.

We ruined a SB window when Romo was going to play with a fresh Zeke. The disappointment this time around wasn’t personnel, it was totally screwing a QB who sacrificed his body for years until he was finally given control, which was taken away from our bone-headed Red Ginger and we had the personnel around Romo to make real noise for a 3-4 year window.
If we don't win a Super Bowl this year with Dak then my fears of the coaches ruining this franchise for the foreseeable future might come true as those chances probably are slim to none after Dak gets paid. We wasted the best opportunities cutting Romo as soon as they thought they found something in Dak. The odds were not in our favor with Dak and it's the same excuse with Dak now as it was then - Great character, leader, etc. Just average football mechanics with no actual instincts of a great football player, just like most of our defense. This offense, despite how bad of a defense we've had, was primed for a run.

Trade Dak and chido to the Bengals for the 1st pick

Maybe They will hire garrett and this would be a possibility.

except Stephen Jones loves to talk about where they drafted Dak so he is here forever.

Would have loved to be wrong as well. I hate having to play a game of rotating QBs. Would have been more than happy to keep Dak if he was that guy. He just isn't even close to what we need.
What we need isn't easy to find, but it isn't impossible. Jerry better start looking now...

I remember that 2008 monstrous eagles defense was right in his face all game.

yea that was against Jim Johnson's defense that was stacked and fighting for johnson knowing he was sick.

plus romo actually had a real injury to his back affecting his ability to throw the ball. Fred Robbins hit him right in the back with his helmet that hurt romo even though he never missed a play.

Instead of “like-ability,” commanding a huddle,” and cornering the market in sponsorships? No way!
I'll be completely honest. most of the world makes this same mistake. They look at personality and likeablity and assume you deserve to be a leader. some guys aren't leaders. Garrett doesnt do anything dynamic. He's just a guy. No one wins because of him. He's conservative on the road. That tells you about his character. He can't out coach anyone.

Now for Dak. He's likable. and young. He's never been accurate. His arm strength is ok. He doesnt read defenses well.
He focuses on the things people talk about that don't affect winning. He has " poise" He's a " leader" the Guys like him. What else can untalented guys do? Also keep in mind, he's a psychology major.

Like I have been saying since say one. Dak is not a franchise quarterback. The man can't hit a moving target on stride to save his life
Dak had chances to run in every game and didn't because he has his own agenda. he's trying to paint a picture. He won't run even if it helps because they'll talk about his legs. He wants stats and more stats even though most are in garbage time.

This is so true. A+ comments. A team of losers. But does that just flow from the top?

We all see the same thing.

Jerry Jones is a weak leader who values his own sense of control over anything else. This dynamic permeates the entire organization.

No one person has a sense of accountability because every thought / action / reaction goes through Jerry Jones’ microphone. His lack of vision in allowing coach’s / players to make their own path — via clear and simple rules of accountability — allow for this abrogation if anything that looks like responsibility.
