I hope he ends up as Dan Aykroyd did in the movie trading places.

He wasn’t the HC for 1-7. He was fit 5-3. Pretty simple, actually.

His offense sucked the first 8 games then did a miraculous turnaround the rest of the season. Why did Garrett wait until Wade was fired to get his offense in gear? Pretty simple, actually.

nobody is going to hire this *** clown. maybe the clapper on tv, that's about it.
Wait a minute Jerry said there is 6-7 teams waiting to pounce on Jason, and we know Jerry knows all when it comes to coaches and football, give it time it may be a bidding war hence the delay.....

he should take year off to reflect like MM and come back next year energized with anew passion and plan.

he will get a HC job next season..he was let go late , and with only 3 jobs to choose, given Rivera was hired with no interviews he was their guy and the Dc were out, from is why he didnt get a HC job this season..

Honestly, he should strive to be a GM somewhere. That is where he would be best suited

You need to be a good judge of talent to be a GM (unless you own a team), JG doesn't show that trait either.

Exactly...………….Jay Glazer, who is more connected in the league that just about anybody, reported Garrett was campaigning for his job.

Garrett didnt want to leave, he literally is hanging out at the Star telling Jerry how great a guy McCarthy is. So please, nobody stopped Garrett from doing jack.

He is not getting any head coach offers right now because he constantly goes 8-8, not because he got blocked by Jerry from interviewing.
That is sadder than I thought. I thought he was hanging out with their okay...collecting his things saying goodbyes, etc. Pulling a Costanza and showing up anyway is odd.

Yeah, but I don’t give a wet fart what you think.

I’m not hedging anything. I mentioned the follow-up roles common to most former HCs in this league specifically because they’re most likely.
Thats not what happens to most GOOD former head coaches  you havent named one former good head coach this happened too. Try again

If he wants to still coach, he needs to do what McCarthy did and spend the year reflecting on his unwillingness to adapt and incorporate new ideas into his offense. He needs to have something new and exciting to bring to an interview. Personally, I think he will have to go to college to still coach. If he wants a lucrative career in the NFL media world, he should reinvent himself as a Dallas Cowboy/Jerry Jones hater. I’m sure someone would find a TV gig for him to just bash everything Cowboys.

JG not getting hired as of now, is not only a bad reflection on JG, but a bad reflection on this Cowboys franchise.
This is the NFL, all teams in this league are professional franchises, despite their win loss record.
Jerry you stubborn mule, I will never understand your patience with a proven failure like redball, never.
