"But, But, Buut... we can't have a guy as talented as Mahomes because they are rare"

I wonder what the Chiefs were thinking wasting a first round pick on a QB, heck, they even moved up in the draft to pick him even though they already had their "Dak" in Alex Smith..

Alex Smith was a "winner" in KC and "led" them to the playoffs every year as a starter..

Alex Smith had a top QBR and accuracy percentage over that span I wonder what the Chiefs were thinking getting rid of him and taking a chance on a Blue Chip Stud QB..
I would call Detroit and see what it would cost to move up to the 3rd pick and get Tua. Time to take a chance. Would 3 firsts and 3 twos work?

and that’s fine

not asking you to. But surely you can state why you feel it’s a crazy comparison without calling me a dope fiend, clown, troll, etc

Not saying you do that kind of stuff regularly but many do

and then they complain when they get a timeout

that’s my point.
Anyhow I’m on Eastern time and I have an early appointment

have a good night all. It’s been fun. See you tomorrow
I mean maybe you aren’t one is those guys but it’s hard to decipher who genuinely thinks Dak sucks and who’s just trying to get a rile up.

Waiting Mahomes and now Russell Wilson just really opened my eyes. These guys are on another world compared to Dak. Kind of depressing
Watching the playoffs you can see why most of these QBs are first round picks. They have the pedigree of having the physical and mental tools to compete at a high level. Big difference between a 1st rounder and 4th rounder. Those later guys have more issues that need fixing.

That’s a ton of picks for a QB that gets hurt so often. I’m not sure Tua is going to hold up in the NFL.

If you were moving up for a QB and going to burn #1 picks then at least shoot for Burrow or the kid from Oregon. Tua's headed for the IR no way is he holding up in the pros.

LMAO LIMITED?????!!!!! Did you not notice he came 1 yard away from beating Romo's passing record for yards in a season? MY GAWD. OK...lets say hes limited....FINE...if THAT is what we deem limited, I will take those results all day long and twice on Sundays. WE ARE SPOILED ROTTEN AROUND HERE. We have the pieces on offense...and now with MM and proper scheme and coaching, the sky is the limit. OUR ISSUE is the defense. Once we right the ship over there, and sign Dak...we are ready to do great things for the next few years. IN SPITE OF JERRY. BTW guys...how the hell does Jerry get into the hall before Bill COWHER AND Jimmy? ITS JUST WRONG. Good thing is, unlike Jerry and his pettiness, Jimmy holds no grudges...TIME TO PUT JIMMY in the ROH.

With regards to me, I'll make it easy for you.

I do not like him as the Cowboys QB and unless his skillset and performance dramatically changes, I probably never will.

We have all star talent surrounding him everywhere on the offense except maybe the TE position.
if he was carrying a garbage team, maybe I'd be more sympathetic.

He just misses too many passes that a 4th year starter should be able to make.
The idea that he's asking to be paid same, or even perhaps more, than any qB in league history, literally pisses me off.
Because I know Jerry's probably going to do it.

I want him gone. Let someone else pay him $35-40 million a year and let it be their problem.
We could get a lot more out of that money by drafting a suitable replacement or getting a decent FA at a lot less and putting the $$ into the defense.
Just my $.02

Hmm..

When Dak first arrived in 2016..

he looked to be the prototype of future QBs..

running, throwing, leadership..

as a package he seemed very doable going forward.

Fast forward to 2019..

he leads the NFL as a QB..

directs the #1 offense..

throws for over 4500 yds and 21 tds.

reduces his sacks from 60+ to like 20..

decreased his interceptions drastically..

had 2 WRs over 1000 yds and a 3rd over 800+ yds.

His #1 RB was over 1300 yds running with another 400 pass receiving.

That is pretty impressive.

If you want to bring us up to level the playing field..

fix our defense to better compete against better competition.

Then Dak looks way way better.

Remember..there are 53 guys on these teams.

Not just a QB.
^^^THIS^^^ I LIKE..because he uses actual facts and stats. The defense has been a farce in crucial moments, for years now. It goes back to scheme, and coaching..pretty simple. The only caveat will be, we will need to change up personnel if we move to a 3-4 scheme..which seems inevitable now. In reality, counting on a SB run in 2020 may be pie in the sky and unrealistic...but my target for a huge SB run is 2021..and if it happens next year, hey, its ALL gravy and that much sweeter.

All qb's in nfl look limited compared to mahomes and jackson.
good luck finding and getting one like those 2.
You make it sound like teams should just give up and accept the QB they have. Trevor Lawrence is in the mold of those elite QBs and thats why you do what ever it takes to get him. The only luck you needs is hoping the team you offer your whole draft to move up and take Lawrence accepts your offer.

I think Tua is gonna fall in this draft due to injuries and a lot of the teams picking in the top 10 are stupid enough to stay with the QB they have.

Yeah Tannehill with his 150 yards passing was so impressive.

He made the key, difficult, clutch throws when the team needed it early doors to establish a crucial early lead.

Those throws did not require inspector gadget like arms to catch...

No doubt some of these guys are so anti dak that they would be willing to make a crazy trade and bring in an unknown who cant stay healthy. Knowing we have several areas of concern that need addressed which are much larger concerns than dak. They would be willing to give up several key picks.Only in cowboys forum!!

This team is so much more than just a QB away. They took the important first step last week now lets see how they approach the off season
