Dak outplayed him head to head in last years playoffs. Wilson is definitely great. Mahommes is insane. Why is this website fascinated with crapping all over our guys incessantly?

But, he would have run if he had a contract.

I'm trying to figure out if this is a serious comment or not. And if it is serious, is this the kind of guy we want to pin our future on? A guy who won't compete unless he gets the fattest check of anyone in the league? For all of the talk about Prescott's "leadership" you seem to be saying he will not put the team interest first until "he gets his"

Why bother passing when you have a Monster to hand the ball to?
Tannehill can sling it when he needs to.

Fun Stat:
Rookie WR, A.J. Brown was the first rookie to gain over 1000 yards
and average over 20 ypc since Bob Hayes in 1965.

You know what else Tannehill has? A defense allowing 12.5 ppg in two playoff wins (13 and 12).

The last time the Cowboys held a playoff opponent to less than 14 points was 1995.

I don't see Dak as limited what so ever. Thus far I see a young QB in Dak who has continued to improve him play and expect to see him continue to do so.

Waiting Mahomes and now Russell Wilson just really opened my eyes. These guys are on another world compared to Dak. Kind of depressing
ROFLMAO.

Pat Mahomes is the best NFL QB prospect since Aaron Rodgers.
The fact he went 10 is hilariously bad. He is so far superior to Baker, Murray and other guys who went 1 that is isn't even measurable.
Only .0000000000001 % of people could ever be Pat Mahomes.
He is the best QB in the NFL right now and may well be for the next decade.

Russ is arguably the most unique QB in NFL history. He has such a weird combination of leadership, arm talent, athleticism and durability.
Dak could be a Russ type guy. He is very good in those same areas.

Of the QBs remaining Dak is right in the middle.
He is abetter QB than Jimmy G or Ryan Tannehill.
He was better this year than Aaron Rodgers but no where near Aaron as a total package.
And he is definitely not Mahomes who is the best player in the league and is the guy all 32 f5ranchises would start their team with.

That’s a ton of picks for a QB that gets hurt so often. I’m not sure Tua is going to hold up in the NFL.
He may not be but I am just saying if you want the Cowboys to take a chance and get better at quarterback he is the one. The injury is the reason he might be available.

Yep, that's what I'm saying. Not saying that I blame him, but he didn't hesitate to run the first three years. Unless, Kitna and Moore told him not to run. Just a theory. This is a man's livelihood, nothing to do with Rah Rah "leadership". I don't doubt that he's a leader.

I think Tua is gonna fall in this draft due to injuries and a lot of the teams picking in the top 10 are stupid enough to stay with the QB they have.
We need to get in front of Carolina, Miami and San Diego.

You can name 11 guys better than Dak?

Mahomes, Wilson, Brees, Garropolo, Cousins, Brady and Rodgers definitely. Dak is in that middle group with Watson, Wentz, Goff, Carr, Stafford, Tannehill, etc. Where you rank them is probably personal preference. Team situation has such a big impact on QB play that its a little hard to ferret out.

I like Wilson but frankly he got off to a poor start and had some pretty bad passes early in the game. They feel behind GB a defense that is not that great and came up short. When this has happened with Dak he is called poor and with Wilson it is alright? OK?

"But, But, Buut... we can't have a guy as talented as Mahomes because they are rare"

I wonder what the Chiefs were thinking wasting a first round pick on a QB, heck, they even moved up in the draft to pick him even though they already had their "Dak" in Alex Smith..

Alex Smith was a "winner" in KC and "led" them to the playoffs every year as a starter..

Alex Smith had a top QBR and accuracy percentage over that span I wonder what the Chiefs were thinking getting rid of him and taking a chance on a Blue Chip Stud QB..

My guess is, they were thinking he was in his 13th season, they needed to start looking for a replacement to groom, and they struck gold. It's not like they threw him out with the bath water in his fourth season in the NFL. But hey... spin it however you like.

Issue was Wilson not being allowed to play a bigger role in the first half - Carroll didn't put the ball in his hands enough and/or use his legs until the second half (when he was lights out) and was obsessed with establishing the run with a VET QB.

The reason why Prescott receives so much flack is that in reality, if you give Wilson the offensive line that Prescott has at the Cowboys than the one he has endured at Seattle then people would just see the gulf between the pair.

And to the poster who claimed that Prescott had a better season than Aaron Rodgers - I presume you mean purely in numbers and on paper? As if Rodgers was on our roster then we would be playing on Sunday.

Not seeing anyone consistently elite outside of Mahomes, Wilson and Rodgers. Jackson didn't look great against the Titans and Brees and Brady looked 2nd tier this year. Dak is not elite, but he is with some pretty good company at the 2nd tier.
