Yeah you said he would never be a head coach again, which is a brain dead thing to say about a league that constantly hires retreads. You wouldn’t bet a nickel of your own money that he wouldn’t be a head coach again, you’re just running your mouth. You also wouldn’t bet a nickel that the Giants won’t have a better offense than the Cowboys next year either... since you say he’s a bad OC.

Kaz, while you're accusing people of being brain dead and running their mouth, You're really describing yourself.
Would you care to prove that accusation please? Show me where I said "Garrett will never be a head coach again" and I will apologize! (thread, page and post number) Otherwise shut your mouth and stop making stupid accusations you can't back up.
I'll be waiting...….

He's not a HC. He's just an OC under a 1st time HC. And I've never said he would never coach again, but if I had, that would've meant HC, not OC. But IMO he was just as bad of an OC as he was HC. He didn't get fired for being hot stuff.

He didn’t get fired at all. And it’s pretty common for coaches to move back and forth between HC and coordinator roles. You might not have been in the group that thought no one but Jerry would hire the guy, but that group very definitely did exist and posted to that effect many, many times. The reality was, he was out of contract two days and landed a relatively high profile coordinator gig in a market where most of the HC spots were filled.

He's playing the role of ready-made HC in the waiting as soon as the new HC, Judge fails. Meanwhile, Judge will be undermined by Garrett every chance he gets. We've seen this song and dance before.

I don't believe Garrett undermined Wade. The head coach is evaluated for wins and losses and advancing the team into the post season more often than not. Overall Garrett was a good head coach but not a great one. The best teams have great players and great coaching and have a better chance to advance into the post season multiple times.

It's not uncommon for an offensive or defensive coordinator to replace a head coach. So did Kellen Moore undermine Garrett or was it Marinelli and Kris Richard colluding together? Wasn't the opposition a factor in handling us losses back in Wade's head coaching days and just like in this era?

Technically that may be correct in that they refused to renew Garrett's contract, however that's a matter of semantics. The bottom line is, Garrett is gone, and he didn't leave by his own choice, he didn't leave by accident, he didn't quit or resign. Jerry no longer wanted Garrett's services. Call it what you like. I'm sure Jerry tried to make the split as painless as possible in view of the long relationship they'd had, hence the semantics.

Also you're correct, I was not one of those who claimed no one else would hire Garrett. Nevertheless, I've made no attempt to hide the fact that I am not a Garrett fan and I'm extremely glad the Cowboys "semantically" ceased to utilize his services despite Garrett's wishes! :D

Fools.

pt-barnum-sucker-born-every-minute.jpg

He didn't actually say it.

Crediting that quote to PT Barnum is wrong; although people continue to attribute it to him....

I mean our current coach didn’t even get hired for any position last year. You guys sure will hand wave away anything and not even realize how stupid you sound.

So you’re running your mouth on what? A fired coach who wasted talent? Good luck

You’ve gotten to the point where you are embarrassing! Resign! Please

GB fans won’t be laughing after the Whiners kick their butt!

McCarthy won a Superbowl for those GB ingrates! What did Garrett do for us besides waste 10 years!

McCarthy went 10-8 in post season games, (9 post season appearances in 13 years) including a Super Bowl Win.

J. Garrett went 2-3 in post season and never got past the divisional round.

“I’ve known about Jason for a long time, not only through the general public as well known as he is as head coach of the Cowboys,” Giants head coach Joe Judge said in a statement. “There were guys I worked with that I came across in my career at both Alabama and at the New England Patriots that worked with Jason through their time in Miami with him. They consistently all reflected on how smart he is, how great a teacher he is and how his perspective of the game was through a different lens than most coaches. And when he sees it, he’s able to communicate it and paint that mental image to the players. And he does a fantastic job of making in-game adjustments.”

OMG! Seriously? This was all perfectly reasonable until that last sentence. They'll learn.

Really? He got his OC duties stripped as a coach

None of us REALLY know all the details of the inner workings of the Cowboys’ power structure. What most agree on as probably factual is the fact that meddling Jerry wants what he wants. Most are also fairly certain that Dallas had a top ten offense every year Garrett carried the title “Head Coach”. While most of us welcome a change, the faction that insists he did nothing but clap and spit sounds kinda stupid.

Who is pretending?

Vengeance? He's the one who stole money from Jerruh for a decade...
I agree totally, however if you don't think he would like nothing better than to humiliate JJ and the fans then your out yo mind.
JG is a smart guy. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see him come out with a totally different offensive scheme for NY and actually look competent doing it. Minus the clapping of course

I believe everyone has a fit. Though Dallas wasn't Garrett's fit, I wish well on anyone that is actively trying to do their best even in the face of negativity. In that regard I wish Jason Garrett good luck.
