Figured it would be loaded/stacked boxes. Of course Henry can demolish 8&9 man boxes he sees at a high clip, but put 7 in the box against Zeke and it’s too much.2 safety’s.
Defenses respecting the qb
Playing against base defenses between the 20’s instead of loaded box’s
Basically, making teams guess what we are gonna do every play cause they know they have to deal with zeke but they can’t afford to give up a cheap/quick score. Our defense will look a lot better too if our offense can be consistent. We got guys that can get after the qb. We need a couple run plugging d tackles so our pretty boy lb’s can play chase
I would say if Zeke would drop weight, regain his speed, and avoid contact instead of initiate it he would increase his efficiency. I would also call Henry to see if he can help Zeke in using the stiff arm. So if he can’t outrun an angle in the open field he may be able to shed the safety.
As it is now, we have on film a generational back with a future HoF offensive lineman in the open field against a 2nd round safety and the safety wins the battle holding Zeke to 12 yard gain. Sorry, I can’t buy into the QB excuse, but I know a lot of others will.
