Good morning Pops and Zoner Friends,

I hope everyone is doing well on this glorious hump day Wednesday.

Do you ever get a taste of a certain type of food or cuisine -- just got to have it no matter what? That was me yesterday; I just wanted a really good grilled steak with grilled veggies.

Sounds simple enough except, it was 18 F outside and snowing sideways. Worst of all, though, was that "look" my my gave me when I said I am grilling. Best steak I've had in a long time!

As a side note, the high temperature oven mitts make really good hand warmers when grilling in winter.

Have a good rest of your week and a great Valentine's day on Friday.

As I'd said in a previous post the boss is gone this week. The employees have gone rogue. Today they've cranked the music. We have Metallica (Enter the Sandman (not my kind of "music")), Jethro Tull (Locomotive Breath) ... I wonder what's next. o_O ... Oh. Golden Earring - Twilight Zone - go figure. Interesting group of gals we have here, and I think we are going to need to order new speakers for some of the computers.

Morning Pops, friends and the bopping around the clock group where Jan works. My music makes everything better. Other people's music doesn't always improve the situation. Good luck!

Leon, we'd like a little bit of island detail to get us through the work week. Describe a wave to us, the sound of it crashing, the light playing on the wave and foam as it splashes down, the gentle ocean breeze washing over and wrapping around you as the sun shines down to warm you. We don't want to hear about the heat or bugs.

Colo, your taste buds are trying to get you to catch a cold. Tell them to wait until the blizzard passes before giving you any input.

Have a good day everyone.

This reminds me of a funny story. When I was a kid, or maybe just younger I should say because I didn't feel like a kid in those days, I used to have a small apartment with a tiny little patio. Probably like a lot of younger people I'd expect. I had this little tiny grill, like a cast iron Hibachi Grill. Well, I don't know what ever happened to that but I do know this. I still keep one of those in the garage. When it gets cooled, just as you describe here, or when I'm in trouble with the Wife, I will break that out and just grill right in the garage or the Man Cave. Yeah, it's probably better on the big grill but you know what, there is something to be said for charcoal too.

Good for you Brother!

Morning Pops and attaboy to Colo for not letting the elements rule his world. In PA they have grilling season, Memorial Day through Labor Day, what a bunch of idiots, no wonder they think Wentz is cool. I have grilled out with the weather in the teens just because I can. The people in PA think I am an idiot as well. My wife thought I was an idiot too but waited until I presented her with her steak to tell me so. Then she put me in a hot tub of water until the color returned to my body and I had to rewarm my steak.

Jan, I am shocked to see that you don't already own a "corner bar" light or lamp. Doesn't everybody have one of those? That's the first thing one should buy when first going on their own. I have one in every corner of every room because I do not want to be restricted to just one area. Besides that, half the time I forget what I went onto a room to do or find so I need a place to have a cocktail and collect my thoughts. And collecting my thoughts means heading off any direction because chances are I'll find some. Not necessarily the ones I was looking for but I do have a faint recollection that at one time I might have had that thought. And you would think by now I would have discovered fleeting thoughts are fleeting for a very good reason.

Good evening Pops and friends. Happy hump day. It’s been a great work week with a bunch of great folks. I’m sure next week they’ll lower the boom on the new guy.

Jan, your work place sounds like a lot of fun.

Wow Colo! 18°? You could have put your hands in the fridge to warm them up..brr

Enjoy the rest of your week everyone :)

Usually pretty fun, but there are days I'd like to walk out. It can get pretty stressful. Such is the nature of the business (law). Boss is gone this whole week so we have a few more days of fun.

Morning Pops and friends, from rainy, raw Brooklyn.

Ride down was better than expected, considering it was a rain/snow mix at my house when I left.

At least it's above freezing today. Supposed to be around 7° tomorrow night....If I had a grill I wouldn't be using it.

Y'all have a fantastic day!

Mostly, yes. Boss is always walking around singing and somedays plays a little game he calls 'name that tune'. Guess the song and the artist and he gives you a half day off...BUT it's while he's there by you only. People started cheating and using the internet. We don't get that game very often anymore...
