There are many lessons I have learned along the road to my mid-fifties. They have taught me what is both good and bad about us humans who inhabit this planet. I cannot discuss some of the inherit conclusions because of site rules :muttley: but that particular lesson has made the most impact upon my worldview.

Honestly, it took awhile for the lesson to hit home. I owe CowboysZone in large part for helping hammer the lesson through my hardheaded skull. Regrettably THAT effort was accomplished with an industrial grade jackhammer. :laugh: Thanks CowboysZone. :starspin:

People under estimate the importance of being reliable. One piece of advice I often give young people starting their careers is that there is no point in being brilliant at your job if you cannot be depended upon. Dont ever be the guy who's always late, hungover, "sick", absent due to "something unexpected"etc.

I only have one of those 4. I was even late for my own wedding.

I agree. One thing I've learned over the years is to spend more on something you will actually use regularly. I'm talking vehicles, beds, linens, TVs, stereo equipment, shoes, kitchen knives, etc. I used to spend big money on things that tended to sit in the corner or in a closet that didn't actually improve my enjoyment of life.

I think TOS, Enterprise, DS9, and Discovery all have the mirror mirror / darkly type episodes. While Voyager doesn't have one that I can recall. They do have as somewhat similar episode called "Living Witness" in I believe season 4. Though it's not an alternate universe, but the crew acts like the Mirror episodes. (chaotic evil) It's about 700 years in the future and history being written incorrectly. The Doctor's backup (he is a hologram for those that do not know) is found and he is turn on to set the record straight.
