One more Washington win or Dallas loss and we are out, bros.

If that happens in the next two weeks (it will) it'll make no sense for Dalton to start another game. He won't be here next year. Gilbert should finish out the season.

I'll be curious to see what they do at QB once they are mathematically eliminated.
This kind of common sense is not common with this front office.

Dalton probably has incentive bonuses as do all the players for wins.

Don't think that would go over well to bench Dalton.

Now you are tanking.

You play the players who give you the best chance to win.

Winning is all the players play for.

Fans dream up false scenarios that the players must bristle at.

I know I would.

Yeah well I'll go with the "false scenario" that once you're eliminated you use the remaining games to groom players for next year and not to reach incentives in a player's contract.

I also would like to see Gilbert play more, but even with Dalton’s average play, it’ll help a little with comp picks. We’ll see.

I agree, once we're officially eliminated I want to see less of Dalton, Zeke and more of GG and Pollard. We got to see what we have in GG to see if he is going to be our backup next year. I would think about resting Cooper as well, no sense in him getting hurt. I also would like Lamb to get used to being the #1 and see what he can do against double teams and/or teams' best CBs.

I'm no Dalton fan, but yes there is. Gilbert has made one start in six years of pro football. He passed for about 150 yards and lost.

TIme goes on, Dalton isn't as good as he once was. If he was he would be starting somewhere not due to injury. Despite being here for just a short time Gilbert did a good job. A lot of time...it's a matter of opportunity.

OP Makes sense to me. Gilbert looked serviceable in the game he played, might as well see what he can do.

We lose any tie with Washington, regardless of how many teams.

no not in a 3 way tie.
Say we and FT and NY all 7-9, all 3-3 in the division. Meaning WFT must lose to the Eagles.
We beat NY twice, NY beat WFT twice, WFT beat us twice, so no real head to head tie breaker. We would be 6-6 in conference play, NY and WFT would be 5-7

I think we win in that scenario.

I logged on to make a post about exactly this, you beat me too it. I thought we were much more “in it” that we actually were. The team formerly known as the Commanders could in theory lose out with a tough schedule, but there ain’t no way that the Cowboys win out.

Glibert frankly looked better than Dalton, I wouldn’t swap for him. Once they’re officially eliminated, I hope they get Nooch more snaps. That’ll ensure a better pick !

I will need some extra Xanax to keep calm for the next couple of weeks. So there’s still a chance of winning the division? That makes this big win today into the game that Dallas can build momentum from before going on a streak to win the NFCE. I’m pumped! Go Cowboys!!!!

We don't. We lose common opponents. Conference record is not the next tie breaker.

Common games comes before conference. In this case, I think the Giants will get the tiebreaker because in order for them to get to 7, they will need to beat Cleveland and Baltimore. Plus, they already beat Seattle.

ok, I wasn’t for sure, I was going to post that. But was going to look it up, but have not done so. Not the first time I mixed the tie breakers up.
I was goin to look at common games but wait to see the outcome of next weeks games first. As it may not matter then.
