I don’t think you limit negativity or otherwise to the Cowboyszone. I believe Cowboys fans in general are disappointed and feel a sense of hopelessness. The last 25 years speaks to that. The issue is Jerry and the general sense that fans do not believe in him. It’s hard to be positive in that scenario but I remain hopeful. I think we all are.

This has nothing to do with recent success. Just what you feel about the environment here since you’ve joined.
That's not a fair question.
I think there are a lot of fans who are simply and correctly objective about the team.
Then you have fans like yourself who couldn't care less about the Cowboys, but are fans of Dak.
There's a big difference.
It's not negative to criticize the team you love and demand better.
It IS negative to ignore the facts and base your opinions on your hopes for one player or coach.

I think there are a few outspoken negative posters. The rest are positive for the most part, although make what might be perceived as negative comments from time to time. (Any criticism is viewed as negative by many.)

The outspoken few make so many negative posts that it can warp the perception about the forum's environment.

Agree.

In a good year, this website leans somewhat more to positive posts.

This year, there's definitely more negative posts than positive ones, to be sure.

In average years, they're fairly evenly divided, with both positive and negative comments.

I've had the pleasure of formerly attending several different sites. CZ has been the most respectful.

It is negative for all the right reasons.....team performance or results. My take.....it is a place that forgets it is a team game, as a result.....a chance to single out players (fairly or unfairly), grant immunity or dismissal for others, including coaches, and mixed with some reasonable or justifiable discussions. It is place to view the passions. It is comical, at times, with some of the threads. Most importantly, it is good place for all of us that don't have a direct impact to what we're watching, other than to voice our thoughts. That's the positive.

I believe people express their frustration more than complimenting and this goes for anything, but it doesn't mean CZ is negative.

How often do people call those 1-800 numbers to say good things rather than complain?

Now I do believe there are people who believe they are positive (call them the anti-negatives because they're basically extreme in their approach) and are more negative to other members than that member is of the team.

The overall state of the team really contributes to the mood of the board. For obvious reasons this place can seem a bit negative. Really, I’ve only encountered a very small group of vocal negative posters that really hate Dak. Other than that, it’s status quo here versus any other sports team message forum...

I'd have to disagree with that. We just won last week, but most posts after the game were about diminishing the W, or people upset about draft position.

I even look back at the Wade Phillips or Bill Parcells years when we were mostly good. Anymore people talk about those two like living gods almost, but we had posts every week talking about those guys getting fired. I remember people constantly complaining about "camp cupcake", parcells being too conservative, QB mismanagement, etc

Few things - I said for the most part. 25 years of nothing will frustrate people. They beat the Bengals. Lastly they are a bad 4-9. This team has had very little sustained success in 25 years. Hence the bias is for fans to be negative.

All the hate that our players get makes this place tough to visit at times. Certainly these guys deserve criticism for their play, but rarely does their good play get recognized.

Dak is an avg qb who is greedy and will never lead the team to playoff success
Zeke is fat, dumb and lazy
Jaylon smith should be cut and is the worst LB in the history of mankind
DLaw got paid and stopped playing hard
Conner Williams is the worst OG in the league
Amari doesn't give a crap because his body language is bad. He should be traded
LVE should have never been drafted because he is one hit away from a wheelchair

Did I miss any?

I think you're a cheerleader whose feelings get hurt anytime someone dares to criticize anyone associated with the Cowboys.

It really doesn't require a poll.
The poll is agenda driven like so many others here.

You're kidding, right?

Worse than Eagle fans... and, I know. I live in PA just outside of Philly.

Never post here. Just read and observe. Don't know why guys like Walker even bother.

The same 6-12 with the same old drivel that dominate the board. Angry people, smart-azz people, condescending people, ex-coaches who think they know everything, guys who have never played organized sports in their life, degrading challenges to anyone trying to be positive. They drive the positive ones away to the point of simply not posting anything. Just not worth it. So many more important things to do that are constructive and beneficial to others.

This place is the WIP for the Dallas Cowboys... and, just as classy...
My hope is that, in most cases, these are people with an online persona who are very different in their offline life. I feel for folks who are relentlessly negative or, worse, think the only way to be "realistic" or "analytical" is to project negative views.

The honest truth is, in many years of business ownership and upper management, I found that those people, while they might be competent employees, would never generate any significant money. They were not rainmakers. Every significant revenue generator I encountered or employed was generally a positive person. It is a necessity. Positivity is required to stay with a project or an idea when it won't yet work, and such an outlook permeates to a client.

This isn't to say positive people can't be critical. Nor is to say negative employees can't find a way to contribute. But the positive folks generally pay the bills and create the upside.

A fact in my experience. I'm sure there are exceptions. I'm also sure they are few.

The Dak haters have made it a negative environment.
:muttley:
the "Dak is perfect" crowd are the only group that i can think of that constantly uses the word hate or hater. everyone else can generally accept differing viewpoints and even agree or at least acknowledge the other viewpoint after an exchange of ideas.
