It is true that Lawrence threw a lot of college open routes but no one did that as much as Joe Burrow and he seemed to make the transition fine.

If you want the best QB from a tight window standpoint, that would be Zack Wilson. If I were picking and needed a QB, he would be my first choice.

^^this...well said. I concur. Its a matter of perspective and "flavor" as far as QB.

You proved over and over and over and over again that you do have a reading comprehension problem. Go back and find where I said something speaking for my own personal beliefs anything bad about Lawrence's playing ability. You won't find any because I didn't. See in your little mind you equated (that word means 2 or more things seem like the same thing) what I've said that the sporting world has made all sorts of proclamations and have raved about Lawrence so one ( again meaning all the average Joe's out there) would think that Lawrence had a automatic complete total lock on winning the Heisman and then I stated a fact by saying Lawrence did not win it, and you've equated that I personally stated bad things bout his abilities. Nowhere in ANY of my comments did I state or imply my own opinion of what I think Lawrence's football abilities are.until after all of your comprehension problems arose I finally said that I think Lawrence did a really good job in college but as always I'll wait and see what a player does in the NFL before making any proclamations.

As I said before get some reading lessons.

It's okay to admit you were wrong and that you contradicted yourself.

It happens to the best of us.

What's problematic is when you dig in and continue to dig a hole for yourself and descend into nonsense.

But I'll give you an out.

Repeat after me ...

I (gjkoeppen) was WRONG!

Here, I'll spell it for you since you're so hung up on reading comprehension and efficiency.

W-R-O-N-G!

Remember, the "W", in this case, is silent so the second letter provides the initial sound. The "O" makes "aw" sound. The "N" just accentuates the vowel and the "G" makes a "Ga" sound.

Put it all together and it spells and sounds like WRONG!

See, that wasn't so bad now was it? ;)

I've never seen anyone works so hard to cover up their comprehension problem and work so hard to push what they didn't understand that causes them to push what their little mind want's what someone else wrote to have been written. I'll make this easy for you. You can think and believe anything in your little mind that you want - I DON'T CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

STOP ACTING LIKE A 3 YEAR OLD and don't bother to reply because I'll just ignore it6.

You're a sensitive soul aren't you?

And you're childish. The "Don't bother to reply because I'll just ignore" is ...
1. What you said previously and
2. Something children say when they're irritated.

If you don't care for my analysis (which really wasn't that offensive), don't post.
If you still don't like what I say, simply ignore it the first time.

Take control over your life and stop letting others control your emotions.

By the way, you DO care. Otherwise, you wouldn't be in a running discussion with me. Folks don't engage in that which they don't care for about.

Just a take-away nugget for you since you won't be replying. ;)

I like it.

Wilson is my #2..

But he has more skill than all of these guys coming into the league. I just prefer Lawrence’s talent and upside.

Seriously, this is simply people stretching and reaching trying to poop on the best QB prospect coming out since PManning.

None of those players on offense will go in top 3 rounds, and Clemson RB is rated better then Williams(which I disagree) and Clemson has receivers that that got drafted in the 2nd. Clemson has the better team and its not debatable.

Lawrence is overrated. I don't think he dies better than Howell if they switched teams and Howell would have done better or at worst the same as Lawrence if switched.

Many people have claimed Lawrence is once in a lifetime talent. My point, doesn't matter if he is better or not, it's debatable that Lawrence isn't even best QB in ACC.
Of course, Clemson has the better team.
It's why Lawrence sat out so many 4th quarters and a big reason why they never lost a regular-season
game in three years with him at the helm.

I'm hoping the Heels can close the gap some.
Another nice recruiting class coming in.

247Sports ranks
Clemson's class 4th
Miami's class 8th
UNC's class 14th....but their top 2021 recruit (5 str Tony Grimes) switched to 2020 class...so the class was top 7-8 range.

Tony Grimes played well in the Orange Bowl.

Mack Brown is really turning this program around and I love it. 2 years they almost beat Clemson, at the end of the game UNC went for 2 instead of going into overtime. That was Howell freshman year and he played better than Lawrence in that game....... no I'm not giving it up. Lawrence is overrated

With all the talk earlier in the season that the Cowboys should tank to possibly get a crack at Lawrence and all the talk about Lawrence going to be the next great QB, yet with so many people trying to make all their proclamations about Lawrence you would think he would have been an automatic lock for and gotten college football biggest award, the Heisman Trophy. But he didn't. As always, I'll wait and see what a player does in the NFL before making any proclamations.

This is a pretty poor method for evaluating NFL talent. Go look at the list of Heisman winners, lots of huge busts in the NFL especially recently. There have only been 9 Heisman winners to be inducted in the HOF(out of 85) so 10%. If you look at them since the late 80's/early 90's there's not going to be many new additions anytime soon.

Andre Ware won the Heismann. I’m pretty sure most people think Lawrence is going to be number 1, because they believe his skills will translate seamlessly to the NFL game.

Why have so many think that I have said that the Heisman winner is the end all be all evaluation on a pro career. All I did was point out that the sporting world has made their proclamations and raved and praised Lawrence and by doing that you, meaning the average Joe's out there, would think Lawrence had a total lock on winning the Heisman and then I pointed out another fact that Lawrence did not. I finished by saying like always I'll wait until I see what a player does in the NFL before I make any proclamations. It doesn't matter which player it is, I wait to see what they do in the NFL first. The reason I do this is because the college players that do make it to the NFL play their college careers against the vast majority of players who never get to the NFL. So I wait until I see what they do playing against nothing but NFL players.
