The or a? He certainly was a big reason. Do they go 13 and 3 without him? They probably don't.

I would say Oline, Dak, Zeke in that order. So yah, Zeke was a big part of it. Regardless, one season doesnt justify a draft pick to me. And if your saying that we shoudlnt have resigned him then that should be the answer right there. NO way you use a top 4 draft pick on a guy thats only going to be on your team for 5 years.

I was a re-sign Murray and draft Ramsey guy.

I am NOT for paying backs when you have a great Oline. I am a "spend the money on the line, not the back" type of guy. I didnt want to pay Murray. But I had no idea they were going to screw up the position so badly after Murray left. For 5 million, I would have gladly paid Murray again had I known.

Ramsey would have been the leader of our defense. Having Ramsey and Jones could have made a big difference.

I knew they would take Zeke when Murray left because he was such a huge part of our team, and there was no way the Cowboys were going to try to groom a guy for a spot that needed an instant starter.

Ramsey would have been great here.

Teams won't pass on that kind of top level talent for a need unless, the needed player's talent level is at least close to being equal to his.
Teams needing QB, OT's, WR's or Parsons may pass on him because the guys will be at least close enough to his ranking at their needed positions.

Honestly, Dallas probably can't say that about too many players. Most likely he will be rated much higher than Surtain, Farley or any CB. Obviously if Sewell fell that's easy. Slater possibly could justify that pick, but I just don't know how high he'll be ranked by them.
Phillips is another guy to watch. If he clears medicals he could easily be rated high enough to take instead of Pitts.
But if he doesn't, if Slater isn't ranked high enough, if Sewell is gone and it's just the CB's or Pitts, you take Pitts.
Unless, you can get a great trade down option in return.

Well the other guy that they could have taken isn't on the team that drafted him.

Went looking for a substitute for Pitts, Jacob Harris measures out at 6-5, 219 and ran 4.39.

Have no idea if he can catch, but with that 4.39 he likely sits on multiple lists.
