Cowboys to be on Hard Knocks

As long as Jerry is breathing and calling shots, we are doomed. Might as well add some Hard Knocks entertainment. Looking forward to the comedy. I have zero expectations this year.

Very much looking forward to Zeke and Jaylon on HBO.

Both should have already been traded. Hard Knocks is right up Jaylon's self promoting alley. Should be soap opera quality.

For those complaining that this is all Jerry and more money for Jerry, how much money do you think Jerry actually pockets form the Cowboys being on Hard Knocks? I doubt Jerry personally even gets $1000 for being on Hard Knocks. Indirectly, maybe jersey sales slightly increase and maybe more people buy tickets to Cowboy and NFL games. I would guess he gains no more no more than $100K. How much is the free publicity worth?

It would be interesting to know how much the players personally get paid for being on Hard Knocks. Maybe each player gets $1000. Those who do interviews get more money? NFL union rules, actors' union rules, royalties, state law, etc.

what I do know is that it won’t have any positive effect on the teams chances at success.

I would tend to agree with this. I've never seen the show and only see the clips people post here but the first thing I think of is will the team have the rights to go over the footage to make sure any strategic stuff they work on isn't being exposed to the public and other teams? If so, then that's more time taken away from focusing on the team to safeguard what they're there to do. Even if they have say on what gets filmed or not it takes time away.

Not a fan of Cowboys being on Hard Knocks. Then again I'm one who thinks training camp should not be fun, to me it should be about finding the guys you can count on and weeding out the dead weight and in the end coming together as a team. I see Hard Knocks as a distraction but it is what it is.
