- we took Taco ..because there were serious legit issues with the DEs ... DLaw was coming off a 1 sack season in 2016 ..
and of course Gregory was continuing to have his suspension issues
So thus the edge rusher names of names of Wat and Taco ...

- from what i heard then, Cowboys actually considered Taco more of a 2nd rd value guy than a 1st rounder, but they were so paranoid about not having any valued DEs still
on the board that they " reached" for Taco.

- Ironically the other guy that went one or two picks ahead of the Taco was Tak McKinley whose been a bust and journeyman in NFL - some assumed Cowboys anted him, but contrary to rumors
his name i was Not hearing by the Cowboys pick,.. it was Watt, CB Kenny King (another bust) and Taco ..

- Lamb and Diggs just does not equate into the Watt/Taco pick, imo... in fact McClay got blasted with board criticism because they picked Lamb over LSU DE K' Lavon Chaisson who went to
the Jax a pick later . ..and where is K' Lavon Chaisson nowadays ?
So let me ask you....if the Cowboys take Watt over Taco....do you think their team would've been better?

Here's what gets me ...

- Watt at 250 lbs coming out of Wisconsin was not a hands in the ground scheme fit for Marinelli's 4-3 as a DE ... ....

- But Marinelli in 2015, had no problem drafting a 237 pound Gregory coming out of Nebraska, and putting his hand in the ground in the 4-3 as a DE ..?

Yeah I don't understand that but wasn't their a knee injury teams were concerned with?

The “reality” is continuing to acknowledge one of the worst mistakes this franchise has ever made.

Watt just tied a league record another “reality”. Taco is on the side of a milk carton.

And lamenting over it is pure fantasy.

What's his team record again? Don't get me wrong, passing on him for Taco ranks right there with Randy Moss. My problem unlike, the late Reggie White, Mike Strahan or LT, I'm not sure his record has translated to a better team or players around him.

See Parsons impact.........

All of Rod picks turn out to be trash or average for the most part. Randy may be the exception but how much time did this guy miss in the NFL? But his Taco and Hill picks really set this franchise back a step. I felt there was better options. I dont hate the Taco pick as he was the best scheme fit . It was more of the fact we couldve had him later. And to note the guy had effort issues in college. We couldve easily double up that year.

- The DL would would have been better, because Watt was a much more natural pure pass rusher than Taco (whose film tape i just hated ..!)

...but i don't think WAtt would've been quite as the impact here with Marinelli ..that he was in Pittsburgh,
He would not have been able to flip flop side to side, ..one end to another ..Marinelli wouldve beaten him up as a DE.

- As good of a impact player and skilled player Parson is .. the way Quinn is scheming helps stands him out tha much more

- If Marinelli was still here as DC, ..Rod probably would've had him exclusively at middle LB, instead of all over.
Rod wanted things simple.
