lol this isnt a CSI TV show.
Real CSI teams and detectives are not as good as what you see on those tv shows.
It took them 3 weeks or more to id his necklace, and then they ANNOUNCE they want to talk to him, which would allow him to lawyer up and get rid of any evidence.
By making this public, they just made their job much harder.

they might eventually catch the shooter, and figure out who was in the car, but even better odds on that they never solve the crime.
The police literally asked the public to identify the group that Joseph was with. The only witness they have is Bossman but they don’t have any evidence to link him to the crime. He does not have to talk to the police. The reality is the police cannot identify the SUV. If you want to say Joseph is involved with the young man’s murder, a good attorney will take the case apart at trail.

This the dumbest thing I ever read, if you're in a car with someone who shoots someone and you know and do nothing, then yea, youre an accessory. You expect them to let you go if you try to hide it?lol

That's not the legal definition, to be an accessory you need to either:"aid, abet, counsel or procure", and it needs to be proved that they knowingly or willingly aided or assisted another person in the committing of a crime.

The law doesnt mention preventing an incident so the case against any 'accessory' will depend upon whether the state can prove there was an agreed intent to shoot someone.

Presuming Joseph wasnt the shooter, then I would expect the Cowboys tell him that if he doesnt give full disclosure it will be a decision on whether he wants to be a Cowboy or Gangsta.

If he was with the group that was with the gunman, he's guilty as well. Thats basically it in a nutshell. He will have some level of guilt legally, I promise ya. You don't need to pull the trigger to be guilty. Translation, we better get ready for life without him this year at least.

I wouldn't be surprised if they try to get him to do a plea bargain where if he talks, he gets something short in relation to that. How much time that would be, I don't know. It depends on the DA.

If this has been posted before, apologies...

Quote from a ESPN article

"The Cowboys did not have a comment. However, sources said the team has talked with Joseph and is encouraging him to speak with police to discuss what he knows about the incident.

Detective Tonya McDaniel told KDFW that Ray and three friends were in Dallas for a weekend and that they were not responsible for the incident that preceded the shooting. Police have been working to identify the group seen in the surveillance video, including the man wearing the YKDV necklace."

Sorry, but if your employer has to encourage you to talk to the police because you're a witness to murder, I'm guessing you may not be employed to long.

These guys make a lot of money for playing a game, the downside is you will always be in the spotlight for anything "bad" you can possibly make the news for.

If Joseph would have come forward without people having to "encourage" him to talk about what he knows, it would show some kind of character. By the same token, everyone can see what kind of character he has now.

Maybe he does not want to be labeled as a snitch:)

What's an off season without something like this? Even if it's totally wrong, don't you miss the good ole days?

Exactly, which is why I'm not so sure he's going to get a lot of time. One, he might not be guilty of anything more than being an imbecile. Two, even if they try to charge him with that, I'd imagine the DA may try to get him to take a plea deal. Three, even if he had some involvement, it still depends on the DA as to how far this goes.

Let’s see if he gets arrested first. The league won’t do anything until Joseph is arrested. As of right now they don’t have any evidence to do that. Joseph admitted he was at the site of the evidence but that proves nothing. The video of him proves nothing. Zeke pushing the security guard in Vegas was worse.

No sympathy for these guys with the world at their finger tips and they absolutely blow it

I tend to agree. I get it that some of these guys have grown up with some of their posse and feel some sort of debt to them, but at some point, you have to take control of your life and if what you are surrounded by is trouble, you need to keep them at arm's length.

Granted I didn't have the life he had, so who am I to cast judgment, but it just seems to that if you want to exploit the situation given to you - a potential NFL player who can make millions - why would you continue to keep things or persons in your life that hinders that?

This is a tweet from a verified person who works closely with the Cowboys. I think this deserves to be discussed on here and shouldn’t keep being deleted.

deserves??? its non story until its not its no ones business..POI isnt anyhtig want soem knowledge this is ghreta sign since the last NFL player that ahd this hapen never lost punlrity and went to the HOF..

Ray Lewis comes to mind..we goig to start the judgment and rhetoric game on his involvement OR get this WAIT UNITL MORE ACTUAL facts and news comes out. Should be deleted..noinsese talk about things we have no knowledge of AT ALL.

lets discus this,

Lewis was arrested for the double-murder and spent time in jail before the trial despite never killing anyone..wow what happened there..niothig went on to be very popular and sometimes lauded and respected player huh? no one sems to talk about it now.

https://fanbuzz.com/nfl/ray-lewis-m...bstruction of justice, a misdemeanor.

so before we get all up in KJ business because your own lives are so boring, remember this story. Sounds like the same situation KJ is hanging in the same vehicle and witnessed this but didn't want to dime out his friends.

Did someone fire a gun aimed at someone and he was there? huh...he didn't report it. Accessory. That's assuming he was in the car, but the evidence so far suggested he knew at least some of what was going on.

Innocent or guilty, he put himself in a stupid position and will likely do so again. Cut him. Give his roster spot to someone who wants to play football, not play thuglife.

true.

he’s cooked.
