It took them 3 weeks or more to id his necklace, and then they ANNOUNCE they want to talk to him, which would allow him to lawyer up and get rid of any evidence.
By making this public, they just made their job much harder.

they might eventually catch the shooter, and figure out who was in the car, but even better odds on that they never solve the crime.

The police literally asked the public to identify the group that Joseph was with. The only witness they have is Bossman but they don’t have any evidence to link him to the crime. He does not have to talk to the police. The reality is the police cannot identify the SUV. If you want to say Joseph is involved with the young man’s murder, a good attorney will take the case apart at trail.

That's not the legal definition, to be an accessory you need to either:"aid, abet, counsel or procure", and it needs to be proved that they knowingly or willingly aided or assisted another person in the committing of a crime.

The law doesnt mention preventing an incident so the case against any 'accessory' will depend upon whether the state can prove there was an agreed intent to shoot someone.

Presuming Joseph wasnt the shooter, then I would expect the Cowboys tell him that if he doesnt give full disclosure it will be a decision on whether he wants to be a Cowboy or Gangsta.

I wouldn't be surprised if they try to get him to do a plea bargain where if he talks, he gets something short in relation to that. How much time that would be, I don't know. It depends on the DA.

Sorry, but if your employer has to encourage you to talk to the police because you're a witness to murder, I'm guessing you may not be employed to long.

These guys make a lot of money for playing a game, the downside is you will always be in the spotlight for anything "bad" you can possibly make the news for.

If Joseph would have come forward without people having to "encourage" him to talk about what he knows, it would show some kind of character. By the same token, everyone can see what kind of character he has now.

Exactly, which is why I'm not so sure he's going to get a lot of time. One, he might not be guilty of anything more than being an imbecile. Two, even if they try to charge him with that, I'd imagine the DA may try to get him to take a plea deal. Three, even if he had some involvement, it still depends on the DA as to how far this goes.

Let’s see if he gets arrested first. The league won’t do anything until Joseph is arrested. As of right now they don’t have any evidence to do that. Joseph admitted he was at the site of the evidence but that proves nothing. The video of him proves nothing. Zeke pushing the security guard in Vegas was worse.

I tend to agree. I get it that some of these guys have grown up with some of their posse and feel some sort of debt to them, but at some point, you have to take control of your life and if what you are surrounded by is trouble, you need to keep them at arm's length.

Granted I didn't have the life he had, so who am I to cast judgment, but it just seems to that if you want to exploit the situation given to you - a potential NFL player who can make millions - why would you continue to keep things or persons in your life that hinders that?
