Garrett played with a true fullback...and the personnel that he acquired while working for Wade was what he had to work with.

Now that this is his team...maybe he will have a completely different outlook on what he is going to do on offense with what he wants?;)

Garrett stated when he first became OC that he prefers using a fullback, but wants one like Moose who can do it all. But he admitted that those are hard to find.

I think true fullbacks will always have a place in Garrett's offense, but their playing time will be limited unless they can block, catch and run.

Am betting Moose is loving this pick.

Also wouldnt be surprised at all if Garrett doesnt have Moose out there at VR some once the offseason &TC starts giving this kid pointers.

You are getting me wrong.

I do not watch NCAA football. I think its wrong and refuse to support it.

As such I know very little about these players. I also have a tremendous respect for your opinions. Its just seems to me that your conclusions are based on incorrect premise like the cause and effect of andersons' release.

I am still up in the air on whether i think this guy can block owrth a flip. info seems all ove rthe place.

Damn, strong principals. I would truly miss college football if I could not watch. Too me NFL 1, NCAAF 1A.

Everything I've read said he's a terrific blocker and non-existent as a runner (outside of a goal-line situation).

My decision is based on the premises of the roster make up and direction I have seen this offense headed. Nothing more. I see an increased role of the TE in a FB type roll.

Hey I hope I'm wrong. I'm old school 4 yards and a cloud of dust. Give me back the FB.

That's essentially true from the little that I can remember of him playing at Georgia.

What so you think is the reason that he was drafted if not for the possibly of making the team?

No, I think he was brought in for the same reason any player is brought in. To compete and challenge for a spot. I just feel if he makes the team it will be at the cost of Bennett or Phillips and I'm ok with that if he's the better guy.

Reading about our draft picks only cements my feeling.

Demarco Murray put how many butts in OU seats in his four years?

Bruce Carter is a top prospect but an injury more severe and he would have gotten nada for leading those UNC defenses.

They used those kids and paid them chumpchange.

I dont think there's any chance he makes it and they'd cut Bennett or Phillips because of it.

They'll do exactly what they did from 2007-2009, keep 3 RB's, 3 TE's and a FB

I have no idea.

Perhaps the fact that Gronkowski is horrible has something to do with this mysterious choice.

So much debate over a 7th round fullback...

I guess we truly can bicker over everything

He also has excellent hands. Very good receiver and can get out in the flats.

Chump change for a full paid vacation to the school that they went to to earn a degree!

When you are selling out stadiums that seat 100k, the $30k per year they paid Murray and Carter, is absolute chumpchange. That is the real economic value of what they gave those kids.

Exactly, people living and dying over a 7th round pick need to turn the TV off and go take a walk.

It's quite obvious he's competition for Gronk for the FB position. The offense isn't going to change fundamentally. Garrett uses a FB roughly a third of the time.

Agree with the NCAA being the most corrupt organization on the planet. Just could never give up watching college football. College basketball on the other hand became unwatchable years ago.

Has nobody but me seen this guy play? I can't fathom why nobody likes this pick if they had. The dude can block, catch and has a mean streak a mile wide. He once tackled a linebacker, ripped his helmet off and tried to pummel him for hitting his QB late.
