Alfred Blue will be the starting RB in Houston. Thomas would be backup

But he was going to be featured in the offense, if he was going to just be a 3rd back special teams guy than alright but the guy has more left than al those other guys cause he's been a role player not a full time.

Move along folks. Nothing to see here. We're just fine at RB.

I think Houston offered the minimum because Blue is their starting RB with Foster out of the lineup.

I'm just going to say it & y'all can be upset if you want to... No sweat off my back.

  1. Gus Johnson will play himself into a spot on the final 53.
  2. Ray Rice will join the Cowboys very soon.

I totally agree with you. Seastrunk can't handle the mental aspects of the position and I give him little chance of making this team.

I think opportunity is calling for Gus Johnson and I think if he 'runs with it', he has a very good shot at making this team. More than any of the other candidates, I think Johnson has the body and build to actually be a workhorse running back.

If the team insists on keeping McFadden, I can see them going long at the position and keeping four.

I honestly cannot imagine how they could possibly feel confident going about it any other way unless they make the big trade some here are expecting. If they stick with what they have, they have to go deep here. All three of the top candidates are starting to look like injuries waiting to happen.

I think if you plan on keeping McFragile, you have to go with four. Dunbar is a specialty back and not a starting option, and McFragile is totally unreliable and can't be counted on at all.

I heard Rodney Harrison campaigning for Ray Rice last night. Referred to McFragile's body as "glass'. Some fans still want to think that this stuff is baseless when it's staring them right in the face.

I want no part of Ray Rice. Off-the-field issues aside, from what I've read and heard he was already falling off a cliff before he was suspended. Now add back the off the field issues and you have more circus atmosphere here in Dallas. I think the Cowboys have reached their threshold on knuckleheads...just my opinion.

Otherwise, I agree with you.

Unfortunately for you, you may have to accept your role as a fan of the team that has given Ray Rice a second chance thanks to our FO's denial which has caused them to loaf on Chris Johnson.

I can totally see that.

But there is a part of me that wonders if exiling Ray Rice is in the best interest of both he and his wife?

She got punched in the face, does cutting her family off from any future income help her or hurt her even further?

I'm hearing that Pierre Thomas is the most DeMarco Murray type back still left on the shelf. He runs, catches & blocks and is familiar
with our style of zone blocking running style. He might be available closer to the regular season should we still need a RB to start
game one.

I would take Pierre Thomas in a heartbeat.

I'm afraid you misunderstand my stance here. My sympathy for a woman who get's beat ends at the moment she decides to stay. My hands are completely washed of her, at this point. Life is too short to subject yourself to feeling bad for a person without enough sense to move on from a guy who is capable of doing that.

As for him....if he is capable of doing that to her, he is capable of doing that to anyone. And I don't want that guy in the Cowboys locker room, because we already have enough of that guy in our locker room with Greg Hardy. I think guy's with those types of tendencies, have other tendencies that can quickly bring a locker room down.

Having said that, all reports indicate so far that Hardy could very well end of being a good leader for this team. I really hope those reports continue.

Out of the guy's available, I think he would be the most ideal. He's not an every down guy, but he would be a good insurance policy, all things considered.

I can't blame you for your position. But I'm a bit conflicted. I'm not condoning what he did, but I can't help but think that ostracizing him is the best course of action for anybody. Ray Rice did a lot of great things prior to this incident and those shouldn't be wiped out by one mistake. That's just my opinion anyway and I wouldn't expect anyone else to agree with me. I'm not advocating bringing him in, but saying that everyone deserves to be forgiven.

Rice did a bad thing but he deserves a second chance for sure. If teams don't think he can play that is one thing but just worried about bad PR? Get out of here with that. Give the guy another chance. I would love to have him here if he still has something in the tank.

Ray Rice is washed up. Ray Rice gave his fiancee a knuckle sandwich that put her out cold. Can anybody think of a third reason not to sign the guy because the first two are compelling.

No, I agree. Everyone deserves a second chance...I'm just not sure his second chance should be here, where we already have a roster full of reclamation projects and second chance charlies.

From the other side of my mouth, I will say that there are lot of things in this world you can do wrong that I can understand; been there done that. But after having been married for 10 years and living with a woman who knows exactly how to bring the worst out of me at that worst possible time and not having ever done anything remotely close to being considered as physical abuse, what Ray Rice did is inconceivable to me. You simply do not lay hands on a woman...especially like he did. And that video is like a gif in my head. With all that, I seriously do not want to see him in a Dallas Cowboys jersey.
