It's fair to say Ro McClain is pushing his luck by starting out the year this way. Missing OTAs has become routine for him but his talent is tough to come by, let alone match, considering the modest financial cost. Eventually, the Cowboys are likely to find another MLB with the kind of talent and level of reliability that will allow them to send Rolando packing. Until that happens, expect to see him remain a Cowboy, at least for this year.

That's why he's not there;) He's playing "the game" his way...

He has never been a "practice" to get better player. Even at Alabama he wasn't looked at as a good practice player.
He's been pretty good when on the field but, because he doesn't like to practice he gets hurt much too often. I look
for one of these young LBs to come on and eventually push him off the team. He certainly has to play to get paid
as the Cowboys structured his deal to their benefit.

So disappointing because you would like to believe he could turn things around. Before he came here he was an unmotivated retired football player. In his case, you actually get what you pay for. Off the field you never know if he'll even come to work. On the field we have no one else to match his ability even if he plays halfa**ed. I am hoping Jaylon can come back sooner rather than later.

When Jaylon recovers, Ro is a goner. What a pitiful waste of talent. I'm starting to lose hope with this guy and I was a big fan of bringing him to Dallas. :(

He should be a top 3 LB. He's cost himself millions already. When will he mature?

Not the smartest move for him. He is out the door in 2017 as long as Smith is healthy. Other teams will not offer him more than an incentive laden one year low-ball deal due to his constant disappearing acts.

I don't even know what happened lol, I'm lost

He did not show up for voluntary OTA's...family issues....but I agree, this is getting old.
Jason said he should be back next week. So I will give him that, and see what happens. However in the mean time....get well, very soon Jaylon Smith....

Trade Leary for a legitimate middle linebacker.

He has some "family issues"-- Per Talkin Cowboys or The Break

Let's not forget how Tyron Smith had family issues.. We don't hear about most players family issues.. It's really not our business. As long as they ain't breaking any laws.. Play on Sunday, hit some guys and help the team win.
