People don't trust Dak, is that simple. The guy is too inconsistent throwing the football and people that gamble doesn't like that. If we establish the running game early we should be fine. If we have to rely on Dak it will be along day because as soon as he feels Donald or Suh breathing heavy he will create a sack of his own.

The games usually end up having nothing to do with Dak.

We keep winning even with the few plays he offers us.

He’s got a lot of flaws but our run game and defense usually overcome and sometimes he steps up and makes plays.

On a neutral field the Rams would be favored by 3.5-4 points. Offsmakers give them that extra 3-3.5 points for the home field advantage. We know Cowboy nation will occupy at the least half that stadium. So give me 7 points all day, because it won't be much of a home field advantage for the Rams. That's what the odds makers aren't considering. Pretty sure we'll cover the spread, like our chances to win outright.

They were dead on for the Seattle game. It went from Dallas -2.5 to Dallas -1.5 and back again. I jumped on the 1.5 when it moved and cashed in after the game. If I were handicapping this game I'd have the Rams at -3.5 or -4.5

Lots of ways to look at it. Rams are 6-8-1 ATS as favorites at home in their last 15 home games. That trend leans towards Dallas covering the 7.

Rams in so-called "Big Games"
Won at Seattle
Won vs LAC (not sure where that was, but does it matter?)
Won home vs Seattle
Won home vs KC
Lost at NO
Lost at Chi
Lost home vs Philly

They excel at getting a lead and stepping on throats. Dallas excels at playing keep-away, keeping it close, and winning in the 4th quarter. Turnovers and 3rd downs will decide the game. Last year Rams won 35-30 where Dallas was up 17-6 and 24-13, but lost the turnover battle 2-0 leading to 10 Rams points. Don't turn the ball over, convert 3rd downs and stop the Rams on 3rd down, and Dallas wins. The scariest thing is teams have a 116 Passer rating vs. Dallas when using play action, and no team uses play-action more than the Rams.

Dallas wins a close game or Rams blow them out early.

I think it has alot to do with coaching. This staff has never proven it can sustain long term playoff success, and its not like Garret's a new coach or something. I think you put a different coach out there and people's opinions would be different. People expect us to lose and be the same old cowboys from the last decade. Up to us to change the narrative.

I just spoke to an odds maker and he advised me "Dallas is getting slaughtered." I'm trying to wonder "what do these people know that we don't know?"

"The Rams have yet to win a postseason game under coach Sean McVay's leadership, but based on the opening betting lines from Las Vegas that could be about to change. The opening betting line had the gave the Rams a seven-point spread with an over/under of 49 points, while SportsLine had the home team coming away with a 30-21 win."

The odds maker you spoke with is wrong or not telling you the whole story. Rams -7 is all about getting people to place bets.

Honest answer - the Rams run the same offensive philosophy as the Dallas Cowboys, but with a much better passing and scoring offense. They have a better turnover differential (their defense takes away the ball a LOT and they don't give it up, even less than the Cowboys). They score more points, and they do so safely.

In other words - offensively, the Rams have the same novocaine approach as the Cowboys, but with better dimensionality (passing game) and come away with more points without giving it away anymore.

Kind of how the Cowboys beat the Seahawks by playing the same game plan better, the rams are expected to do the same.

Wild card is that the Cowboys play a stingy defense, so if they can keep the Rams scoring down, they hold on to possibility.

The Rams are not even in the same hemisphere defensively. I don't know what these odds makers are doing but I'm just saying, if the Cowboys stop their running game, it's over.

We have a pretty good defense that's fast enough to keep up with all the gimmicky stuff the Rams will throw at us...

Toss in the fact that there will be NO home field advantage for the Rams as I reckon that half the stadium will be cheering on the boys... hard to see us getting "slaughtered"

Last time these two teams met, I believe that same odds maker said the same thing. o_O

This is the weekend where the bye team usually dominates at home.

Most likely 3 out of 4 win.

I'll say two things here.

1. The best team in the NFL, in terms of TO differential was Seattle.

2. You can't trust the betting line early. Vegas is trying to influence betting. Pay attention to what the betting line is at the very end. That will tell you more about what's up then anything else.
