Stephen Jones is almost singlehandley giving Dallas the reputation of being a cheap skate

Whether its FA from outside or from the inside I believe its hurting us bigtime

If I was a good player I wouldnt even bother meeting with Dallas knowing they are just gonna low ball me

Worst FO in the league.......and turning America's team into the Browns as the years pass on.....

I don't think money is the only issue. The Dez treatment where they take a vacation at the start of free agency, and then release you after other teams have made their signings and are focusing on the draft is a bad look. So is not allowing injured players to compete for their jobs. By not paying, they aren't washing away those concerns.

dez was talking in the huddle, scaring dak..we had to get rid of him. It's bad enough, when he gets pressured he runs right into the pressure...Colins tried to point him in the right direction.

Off the top of my head, you can also add the threads about Namdi Asamough to the Eagles years ago, Paxton Lynch to the Broncos on draft day, and Sammy Watkins to the Chiefs last year. Probably a bunch more.

Anyone can pull a hindsight enlightened list and claim told you so.

LOL

The only trophies in Big D these days are the participation trophies Clappy hands out for "playing hard" and "never quitting"!

This begs the question. When was the last time we signed or had a notable player on the roster that had won a Superbowl?

Edit : as a starter not a backup.
You got me, I cant think of any of the top of my head. TO was on the Eagles team that went to the SB, but he was hurt and didnt play and they lost.

I think there might have been a RB from Washington we signed way back that had a ring, but I think he was Emmitt's backup and not a starter.

Good question bro.

Could've had any FA safety available last year when the market was in the basement. Now it flipped a 180 and gave the FO the bird.

Those count.

We have an executive of the year, a coach of the year trophy and several NFC East titles in the past five years.

Scoreboard, hater.

Brad Johnson is the only one I recall from this century and he was a backup in the twilight years of his career.

You completely missed the point. Nothing to do with hindsight, just that one shouldn't get too wrapped up in signings and remember not all FA signings turn to gold. Keep it real. No need to rue from what I have seen in FA today.

I get that. But There are plenty of free agent signings that work out well yet never get mentioned. For example insert any Patriots fa rb signings over the last several years.

the fact stephen has not yet finalized the deals for Dak and Dlawrence means they are putting a valiant effort not to overspend. A good sign,

I am going to miss Jerry big time when he is gone, hope Jerry lets Charlotte take over.

Stephen is taking over so you can expect much more of the same. Focus on the draft and resigning the players you like. Why take on some
other team's castoffs.
