Fun little story a out my encounter meeting a celebrity:

I was coming home on leave one year, 2004 I believe, and I had a connect flight at one of the LA airports (Not sure if it was LAX). I had enough time to smoke a cig before my connecting flight. They (at least from memory) a nice little gardenish smoking. As I was puffing away I started with conversing with another smoker, a woman that looked to be in her early 50's, with a very odd but not unattractive face. She asked me alot of questions when she found out where I was coming from. She then started about all the letter she received from soldiers in Vietnam. I found that very odd at that moment. I mean why would soldiers in Vietnam be writing this random woman.

I was maybe an hour into my flight before it him. That was Joni ******* Mitchell I was talking too! But man I tell you, I could never have imaged a celebrity, especially someone of her stature being so down to earth. We spoke maybe 10-15 minutes and pretty much the entire time the focus of the conversation was centered on me. I can see with that outlook and willingness to listen, how she could be one of most renowned songwriters in Rock and Roll history

I've met and sold cars to quite a few Cowboys: Tavon Austin, Tank, Chidobe, Greg Ellis, David Irving, Chris Jones, and Herschel Walker. All of them were super nice and down to earth except David Irving which shouldn't surprise anyone.

I've met:

An Avenger (interacted with a 2nd from a distance - or my wife did mostly)
A Kree/Walking Dead
A Terminator
The Dread Pirate Roberts/Robin Hood
A couple of Clerks
and
Optimus Prime

And I guess a baseball player or two.

For those not sure of who I mean:
Elizabeth Olsen (Tom Hiddleston is the 2nd)
Michael Rooker (I offered him a chocolate covered pretzel)
Summer Glau (she is also a Cowboys fan)
Cary Elwes
Brian O'Halloran and Jeff Anderson
and
Peter Cullen

A long time ago when I installed U-Verse and still in training, I was riding along listening to the radio. It was the beginning of an interview with Frank White (KC Royals 2nd baseman 73-90), I remember as we pulled up to the next house for a repair and turning off the truck then asking each other "did we forget to turn the truck off?" because we could still hear the interview going on and even louder. As we knock on the door, an woman answers and lets us in. We both look around with amazement noticing tons of bats and memorabilia all centered around Frank White. The woman says, yep, it's exactly what you think it is. Turns out, Frank White was doing the interview in his garage and since the door was open we were able to hear it quite well after getting out of the truck. He came out once he was done and talked to us a bit, we gave him some stuff like the boot covers we wear to not track mud in houses since he was going to paint some rooms. He hooked us up with an autograph after that, really nice guy and family as well.

I somehow forgot I met the Manster several times. He use to stop in to this restaurant in Frisco called Last Chance that my girlfriend worked at. He would come in multiple times a week, and always had time to say hi to anyone or sign something for you if asked. Great guy

He is still absolutely jacked. I'm pretty sure he works out at the 24 hour fitness that was in the same parking lot right off Preston and Gaylord. He drives a big ole Dodge Ram 2500 with a lift kit
That's cool. Everything I've ever heard or seen about him off the field told me he's a man's man. He also had a level of nastiness as a player that I always appreciated. That extra, unnecessary force throwing a guy down that was just pure intimidation. Of course, he'd get a penalty for it in today's NFL, especially the QB. SMH.

Cool, Eddie Van Halen is one I would have loved to party with and Halle Berry needs no words. Gorgeous woman and Van Halen is great band, and obviously, a great guitarist in Eddie. I wish you could share more details but I understand. Could you PM me something maybe? I promise not to share. Joe Pesci scares the crap out of me despite his small stature so I would love to know what he's like in real life.

Sorry, I can't... but you would not believe the true Pesci......

I work with an old soul hippy .Told her that story and she was livid I didn't recognize her lol. She spent probably a good 30 seconds calling me an idiot
I went to Christian Slater's kid's birthday party (I live in LA and our kids were in pre-K together). He put a tarantula on my head (long story). But at one point I was standing next to a very striking woman, watching the kids. I said some icebreaking thing along the lines of, "aren't they cute," and she just walked away from me without a word.

It was Cindy Crawford. I didn't recognize her.

Many years ago my posse and I are leaving Caesars Palace, a group of ladies cuts between us. Now, walking in front of me, is a very striking looking black lady who is telling her crew about how upset she is with her man, that's he's been cheating & that shes done.
I figured that this is fate, slick back my hair, pop my collar & prepare to make my move.
As we leave the casino, i start to approach, look up at the marquee & see:
Appearing this week: Diana Ross.
I must have given out some sort of squeek , because Diana looks back, we make eye contact & she gives me a lil bemused smile.

I'm stunned,
I have the perfect cue, but instead of saying my line, I bail & jump into the metaphorical orchestra pit

Cool. I'm driving up to Charlotte in January to see Bobby Labonte get inducted in the HoF. Was always a big fan of his. After he retired I was a Carl Edwards fan. When he quit, I started rooting for Truex.

I'm partial to The Byron kid. He is a coworkers nephew and driving the 24.

Yes...most of mine are hockey at autograph sessions (free autograph sessions)...I would likely never approach a celebrity if they were just out and about.

I met Gordie Howe, Paul Coffey, Daryl Sittler (he was at Red Wing game in Detroit, shook hands and that was it), Taylor (NHL MVP, 2 Time Memorial Cup Champion), Adam Henrique and Ryan Ellis, Was behind Bob Probert (RIP) as he was paying for gas...he used to live in my area. I met the 3 remaining members of The Doors in Toronto (only 2 remain today). Walked passed Larry King in LA...

I am sure I missed someone...most are hockey for me. I have never paid for an autograph and never will. Celebrity I want to meet, Tom Hanks and Paul McCartney.

The baseball players I mentioned were Hal and Brian Mcrae. One of my dad's business partners was friends of their family, so we went to their house a couple times. Brian was still a teenager at the time.

I also scratched John Wathan's son (Derek) with a nail (pretty minor scratch) at the bowling alley. Can't remember why, but apparently he and I didn't get along (this was when I was less than 10 years old).

Might be the little line under his left eye in this pic.
