To bad yards don't win games; just points and since our opening 3 games when we played nobody we haven't been able to score against a decent D

Don't get me wrong....something fishy is going on w/ the offense as well. Because it sure hasn't been the same...I know the BSU offense...and it sure looks like Garrett took away what was working.

All in on Lincoln Riley for me. Would need a good DC to go along with him but I think he is a future great NFL coach in waiting. Dude turned Jalen Hurts into a Heisman candiate and possible first round pick.

They did that because they were completely lost and most importantly they were LOSING money playing at Texas Stadium.

They knew they had flaws and had to admit them in order to agree to Parcells requirements for him to take the job. They did, Jerry's radio interviews 03-05 with norm were almost word for word what parcells was saying. He got out of the way, Parcells fired the people screwing up the personnel in the front office and brought in a real coaching staff who answered to him not jerry.

Once the stadium vote was done and they had that in their back pocket and the team missed the playoffs in 05 jerry went back to being jerry.

This is the only time they have ceded power and it was 100% because they could not get that stadium built without public approval and running the organization the way they do was never going to earn that. It's never happening again.

Stadium is built, PSL's are all sold, Frisco is built and they are selling high end apartments and other nonsense on the grounds of the teams headquarters. They are worth more than they ever dreamed and they didn't have to win to do it. So since they can do it their way and not get results on the field but in the bank nothing will change.

Cool story but Jones met with Parcells in secret following a 27-3 loss. All your assertions are unfounded and I doubt very seriously that Bill Parcells was duped into joining the team if the Joneses were not serious about winning.

Further the Joneses have never lost money with the Dallas Cowboys. Your narrative is reminiscent of people saying that the team wasn't signing expensive free agents because they were cash poor following the AT&T stadium build.

The Cowboys could have played multiple municipalities off each other, as they did anyway, no matter what. This isn't the Seattle Supersonics we're talking about here.

Jerry hasn't been being Jerry since 2012. If you can not recognize the difference in how the team operates in FA and the draft since then you are blind.

Sure the Joneses want their cake, making top dollar, and eat it, winning, too but that doesn't mean they don't want to win or aen't willing to cede power to do it.

1. The cowboys are not a college team.

2. In the NFL. Harbaugh took over a losing team and in 4 seasons, he went to the NFC title game 3 times and made it to a Super Bowl.

Perhaps you should focus more on his NFL experience than his stint at Michigan.

Perhaps you should focus on his most recent five years of coaching instead of what he did in 2012. Even his last NFL season was 8-8.

That literally means nothing on the field.
Only a moron would leave a top college program for this train wreck

You don't think Harbaugh could come in here and win? The squad does have talent particularly where he has historically focused his interests. It's underachieving but that is kinda the point.

I don't think a college coach can turn the current Cowboys roster around, particularly a mediocre one who had some previous success in the pros. I would interview Mike McCarthy and listen to what he thinks about the offense, what he would do with the QB situation and what kind of staff he could put together.

If people hate Garretts offense they’ll set fire to the Star at watching Harbaugh’s. Garrett runs a version of Mike Martz whereas Harbaugh is like watching the 90s Bears (which is who he played for).

Jon Gruden should be a message to those that think you can just find any coach from 5-10 years ago and plug him in.

Why is McCarthy getting so much love? Any time Rodgers was hurt they went in the tank and at the end Rodgers stopped listening to him and I believed went Romo style and started calling his own plays

His track record of success would be an instant upgrade if it could be repeated in Dallas. Most teams go into the tank when the starting QB goes down. Except the Cowboys of course. They are in the tank with their #1.

What’s his track record of success since 2010? They made the NFC Championship largely because of the Dez catch (the defense was still awful so Rodgers would have still scored) and 2 years later because of an insane catch by a TE on 4th and 20.

If he’s so great why didn’t anyone hire him last offseason. He was fired midway through the year so teams had plenty of time to contact him. I didn’t even see him on interview lists.

Made it to 2 championship games. the GB front office was his biggest problem. I was surprised the Jets didn't hire him, but then again...same old jets.

If we don’t hire Lincoln, I’d prefer a defensive coach who can find a way to create turnovers and chaos. This bend but don’t break has been terrible since Rob Ryan kept getting burned with blitzes and stopped.

Wade was great his first 3 years here applying pressure. The early 2000s and the last 6 years are painful to watch CBs playing 10 yards off.

He had Rodgers, Cobb, Adams, Jordy Nelson, Ty Montgomery and Clay Matthews. Bulaga and Baktiari on the OL. Talent was not always the issue.

I hope this exercise of naming HC replacements is cathartic for you all. Just understand Garrett is still far from losing his job.

Riley would come here. I think we should be able to get any college coach we want. If it doesn’t work they will easily be able to land at a top program again.
