And TJ Watt in 2017, instead of that big empty space they now have to show for their 2017 1st round pick.

Old Man River just needs to go.

Yup, he's a complete and utter muppet when it comes to drafting defencive line and high is supposed to be his specialty.

Seems like they fell in love with SPARQ and ignored everything else.
Nice.

I don't expect much anymore out of him, but just hope something clicks next year.
And that Rod is gone too.

No way Rod told this to anyone. Fake news and BS by this Bobby goof.
The possibility exists Marinelli and Hill had a mutual conversation, that Marinelli wanted to be off the record, and Hill repeated what Marinelli stated publicly. If true, Marinelli meant to say what he never intended anyone else to hear.

Looking at the track record and performance since he arrived in 2014, the track record isn't good.

Nick Hayden, who stuck around doing nothing in Dallas for far too long, while Marinelli somehow sang his praises. Who scooped him up after he left the Cowboys?

Or signing Marinelli's Chicago guys like Henry Melton, how'd that work out?

Drafting Randy Gregory, who apparently no longer cares to pursue a football career.

Does Greg Hardy's name need to be mentioned?

Or big free agent signings like Cedric Thornton. Anyone happy with that contract? Anyone?

Or following that one up with good old Stephen Paea. Did we get a month out of that?

How about Marinelli's pet cat Joey Ivie? I hear he's still bouncing around the league on someone's practice squad?

Overruling the scouts on Taco over TJ Watt? That by itself should be grounds for immediate termination. But of course we don't do that since we're all about feelings.

How about being responsible for getting the team bounced out of last year's playoffs when the Rams knew all of his tells and tendencies en route to running for 273 yards?

And now his latest, and possibly greatest failure, Trysten Hill.

Time to pay the piper for years of mistakes.

Scapegoating 101 here.

Go back and read all of Marinelli's praise on Hill right after the draft selection.

Marinelli can't admit he was dead wrong on Eval and he has not coached him up. Must be someone else's fault.

It's kris Richard's fault . Are you new here ?

I'm usually all in on the 3 year rule for all rookies and I am trying my hardest to give Hill the benefit of the doubt, but this has the looks of a terrible draft choice. The fact that Thornhill is starting and looking great makes this pick even worse. At this point, I'm almost tempted to bring in former 1st round pick Robert Nkemdiche and see what he can do, and we already know he's a bust, lol.

Hill was regressing in college from the look of things. Oh well, just get Jerry to slide that extension across the table to Maliek Collins.

Next time draft a grown man for Rod and leave him out the discussion.
How badly is Thornhill regressing, or do I digress?

To be fair, he was drafted in 12, prior to Rods arrival.

That being said, that contract was in 2015.

I'm not blaming Marinelli for drafting Crawford.

But I do blame him for the team signing him to that undeserved contract. There's no doubt that he had influence in that.

I also blame him for that stupidity of playing Crawford at RDE. Maybe nobody else has noticed how much better the pass rush has gotten with Crawford not out there, but I have.

And I certainly blame Marinelli for keeping him around when the team had every reason to cut bait. And now we've wasted $10 million this year.

This team still creates "favorites". He's one of them. May be a good locker room guy, practices hard etc, but just has never lived up to that contract.

Still believe to this day they would of gotten a better bang for their buck re-signing Murray over Crawford.

Why not?

How would you describe Hill's recent performances?

My comment was not about his performance, which is non existence. Or just bad.
My comment is I do not believe Rod would out right tell this to anyone outside the organization.

Now what @DallasEast posted makes a lot of sense. Even it would not be smart for a player to repeat that. But we do not have the brightest players either.
