Really? Think people will stop buying tickets and merch?

Zordy, this forum is not a true reflection of the fandom, we are far more critical and care more here than the average fan. Going to a Cowboys game is an entertainment event as much as a football game and Booger had that in mind when they were designing the stadium. It is an entertainment venue that just happens to have a football field in the middle of it.

He knows he's beyond the fans and bulletproof and the Cowboys games are just one part of that venue's revenue stream.

And don't think people calling sports talk shows are the people that financially support the football team part of that venue. There is no owner of any sports franchise less dependent on the mood of his fans. We'd like to think fans matter but they do not. He will put his comfort level above that of any of the fans.
Fair points. I will say that attendance did decline in the early 2000's so fans have shown a willingness to take a stand, but you are right that Cowboys stadium will attract people for reasons outside of football. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Pretty much win out, win the division, get to the NFCCG and be competitive. By that, if they lose, lose to a good team in a good game. No coaching screw ups, so stupid decisions. Lose because you got beat by the better team.

Need to go at least 5-2 the rest of the way, and beat the Eagles in one of those wins.

Even then I would still want. change. But if not, no more than 2 years extension.

I fully expect Garrett to somehow get this team to the playoffs and somehow win their wildcard round game, only to get ousted in the Divisional round. That is the Garrett Wall. Not good enough in my eyes given the talent on this team, but maybe good enough for Jerry Jones.

Most of the seats are season ticket holders. They have too much money invested in the PSL's to just give them up. So they have to pay for the tickets no matter what.
What happens are when more fans lose interest and needs to sell them. This is when other teams that travel well, buy the tickets. This may eventually get Jerry's attention, when Cowboys merchandise does not sell at the stadium. But that is still a long way off.

They win just enough to keep many fans interested. When fans even from other teams do not buy the tickets from the season ticket holders, and the season tickets do not go, as many are out of state or it is a 4 to 8 hours drive, and the seats are getting empty, then too he needs to be concerned. However he already has his money. But that does not look well to get future fans.

I sold my PSL's before the 2016 season, and got lucky for break even price. I have never regretted selling them. Matter of fact I often text my friend...I am glad I dumped the tickets....

Right now I would be lucky to get an offer on them.

Are you like me and feel that Garrett needs to go no matter what? Or can he achieve something this year to save his job? I want him gone. We could pull off the unthinkable and win a Super Bowl and I would probably still want him gone.
Yeah, he just doesn't inspire me with confidence.

Garrett doesn't know if he wants to sign for 5 years or 10 years .

Trust me, both contracts are printed and signed by Jerry .

It's definitely time to move on from Garrett. Even if he wins the Super Bowl (never gonna happen) I would be for replacing him. He's had 10 years for gods sake and he's still the same horrible game manager, same unpreparedness when playing good teams. It's like a bad movie we have to keep watching. It's time for a change.

If Garrett makes the playoffs, by some Dak miracle ; Jerrah will extend Carrot 10 years .

Everyone wants him gone, but he isn't going anywhere. He will get re upped no matter what.

even if we win the big dance, garrett will have had little to do with it. it' Kellen's offense now. garrett is absolutely clueless about defenses. so what does the dishwasher do? I think it all comes down to whether Stephen can convince jerry it's time to move on from garrett.

He already said he is "looking for reasons to keep him."

Do you really think he wont find that reason? Legit or not?

He thinks he has the next great young mind in Kellen Moore but wont want to hire him yet.

Any real coach will want to clean house and have his own staff. Not happening here....and I'll say this repeatedly for the next while, until Jerry says Garrett is back for an 11th try at getting it right.

After all, it's a process.

I think Jerruh lets him walk if Garrett doesn’t get to the NFC title game.
