Why was he heavily criticized for being an awful in game playcaller with no ability to adapt his offense?

They are one in the same to me. In fact, almost identical. Both have had great regular season QBs. Both made and won a Super Bowl. About a decade ago. Both have made a handful of other NFC title games and lost all of those.

Even if that were true (Favre disagrees), then explain his results. And i do not want to hear “RodGeRz BaILed HiM OuTt!!”


He won an NFC Championship game on the road in which Rodgers threw for 0 Tds and 2 ints

McCarthy's offense will not go over well in the Zone. My Packers fan friend hated his offense. Boring and predictable.

People that studied it said it was awful.

But he won some games so some on here want us to overlook his poor schemes.

I got bad news... Aaron Rodgers isn’t coming with him so you better hope Aaron Rodgers and people who looked at their offense and called it trash are wrong.

They are literally the 2 seed without him. They’re better off without him and so are we.

You do know there was a big difference in personel from last year to this year right?

You do know Ben Friggin McAdoo went 11-5 a season after Tom Coughlin was fired for going 6-10 right?

The problem for McCarthy was that as the talent drained, he failed to innovate. His scheme went stale and he didn't adapt. As one personnel man puts it, McCarthy "got full off his own juice." He believed his system—not the Packers' absurd amount of talent—was the foundation for the offensive success. But raw rookies cannot bust free one-on-one like, say, Jennings or Nelson or Jones.
