21.1 was literally the 9th best in the NFL. So, yes, compared to every other team it was good and effective.
Dak disappeared in games also (yes, I'm bringing it up again and will continue because it's fact) where our defense held teams to 12, 13, and 17 points. So how come you just casually ignore that and go to the old and tired blaming of the defense for everything?
When you give up 24 to the Jets and your QB doesn't throw a single TD pass to help out then yes, I agree, that's an issue.
It all boils down to this for me. If you expect others to do their job then you should expect Dak to do his also. Why do you give him a pass? Because he puts up pretty stats when we go down 3 TDs?
P.S. The 1st point is true and should be expected by all Cowboys fans. If you pay premium for a product you expect premium resluts (at least I do). The 2nd point is false because he is only responsible for one side of the ball, HOWEVER, him playing more consistent on his side of the ball would help out the other side of the ball. The 3rd point is false, because the bulk of Daks empty numbers came when the game was already out of reach. The last point is also false. I hold the whole team accountable, but Dak is going to get a lot of the blame from me because he has to be better and more consistent. He has done and won nothing in this league to warrant any passes from anybody, so he's not getting one from me and he shouldn't from you. Again, i'm not a participation trophy type of person.
All I have left to say it this .... EXPECT BETTER. What happened to the once proud Cowboys fan base? You guys seem so willing to accept pretty numbers over wins now.
circular discussion.
did Dak not have good games. YES. I have pointed to that several times...however, you continue to look at that in a vaccum. and let me start by saying I am not comparing, as you take mention of anyone's name in a post as a comparison without actually having read the comments...Did Brady have bad games? did Rodgers? did Wilson? etc....as experts often say good QBs make more good plays than bad as every QB has bad plays. they have more good series than bad ones. they have more good games than bad ones.
and I gave you a very long list of QBs who threw 0 TDs and won games and many games the team scoring in the 30s...and this is a perfect example of you blaming Dak for outcome of the game which you said in your prior post you hold the team responsible. that's a contradiction of your own words....(and lacks logic given there are many many many examples of teams winning without QB throwing a TD)...where you lack in logic is that you expect Dak to throw a TD or two every game and you directly correlate that to wins....does it make sense? is there any QB that does it year in year out and given if they do, are they 16-0? and did they lose games because they threw zero TDs?
your illogic is that you correleate TD passes to wins, where there are also plenty of examples of QBs throwing a bunch of TDs and they lose the games....there is no 1:1 correlation.
I would appreciate if you could stick to your own logic.
I expect others to do their job. like not fumbling on a 4th down. or fumbling when they caught the ball and ran 10 yards with it. defense not giving up 85 yard TDs to worst offense in the league and Dak playing better. but you hold Dak most responsible for losses. where I think he is the least of our problems.
and much like you I expect results, given I think he is our QB, we are paying him. but unlike you I am not going to scrutinize every throw, every series, every quarter, every half, every game. no one can stand to that level of scrutiny. I can tear every QB apart that way. taking one game, projecting an entire opinion based on one game.
and in the 5 games he played in last year, we were within 3-6 points with three minutes to go. you choose to call that empty...that's your choice. you choose to say its out of reach. that's your choice. but when you are within 3 points and your defense give sup a 50 yard run to a WR and put it out of reach. I call that defensive collapse. I have presented here the quarterly and half time performance for offense and defense. you choose to not look at facts and focus on perception, is your choice.
am I defending Dak? perhaps against made up perceptions. have I criticized Dak? yes plenty, with valid criticism.
