Lets say we drafted Merriman and San Diego drafted Ware.

Ware would be the one with more sacks...

Anyways this subject is getting old, get over it.

thats exactly where the argument lies. im not so sure ware would be the one with more sacks if he played in sd and we had merriman. id argue merriman would have more here. whatever, im sick of the argument, like everyones saying there is no point to it. its just a frusturating thing that we have to deal with. the only time i do feel like arguing is when people say ware is the better player or merriman is just a product of san diego's system, because those people are complete homers and its fun to call out homers. wares a great player, merriman is just better so far in his career. plain and simple.

or some of you are lying to yourselves. right now merriman is by far the better player. i dare you to find a single football fan not of the cowboys that would say ware is the better player.

how can he be far better as a player when he's not even better against the run and pass? now if you limited it to pass-rushing, then you may have a point

I played college football. I saw guys who were weaker and slower than me make huge strides forward and in some cases pass me.

Hell yes they make a difference. Barry Bonds pre steroids and on them. Notice anything different?

Exactly.

And hopefully it keeps Bonds out of the HOF.

thats because the average fan only sees the glamor stats and most never see anybody else's players play...he is getting "sacks" because of the scheme he plays in...he isnt asked to do alot more than rush the passer, and Wade Phillips does a great job creating pressure and unblocked runs at the opposing QB

our coaches dont do that

Believe me, steroids make a difference. Just look at Nick Mangold's little sister:

and whether you like it or not:

Wade Phillips >>> Mike Zimmer

everywhere Phillips goes his teams rank near the top of the league in sacks and turnovers forced...what we have cant say that

ALmost all of them do, in every sport. Pitchers in baseball will often appeal for a few days to set the rotation up right, then drop the appeal.
How come Cowboys never got this benefit?

We'll know as McGwire is eligible this year I believe.

The only thing is that they really weren't "illegal" in MLB.

oh my fault, i forgot that baseball and football are the exact same game. you cant compare a home run hitter with a linebacker. i dont know, to me theres just too much of a mental aspect to football that makes it hard to say a player is such a good player just because he uses steroids. i dont know how long merriman has been using steroids, if the allegations or true or what not, but merriman doesnt seem to be solely a product of roids.

I think Dennis Franchione recruited her, she'll start for the Aggies next year. Prettiest girl on campus and quite a locker room distraction.

it's funny, because before the steroids, Bonds was already on his way to the HOF

400 HRs/400 steals, a career .300 hitter

he shot up because McGwire and Sosa were taking all the love that he wanted, because they were taking steroids and smashing home-runs, it's sad, Barry's selfishness undoubtedly ruined his career

Hey Einstein I didn't say they were the same game. I said they work and they matter and I gave you 2 examples, one of them personal 1st hand knowledge.

You don't want to take my word for it they work, fine. Go educate yourself on the topic and get back to us about whether they actually work or help. We'll wait for your input.

but WE DRAFTED WARE MAINLY TO PUT PRESSURE ON THE QB!! thats what we wanted with the pick, a pass rusher. merriman is the better pass rusher and thats all i heard from that pick two years ago. now all of your are justifying it like we drafted ware to be an all around linebacker. no we drafted carpenter to do that, but we see how well thats worked out. if all of you are so happy with ware as an all around linebacker than stop complaining during the game in the game threads about our lack of pressure on the qb. because we drafted ware for that exact purpose and merriman is better at it. simple.

Some people here need to do a little research on steroids. their ignorance is appalling.

BP drafted Ware to be a complete LB. Not just rush the passer. Some people...
