Don't believe I ever said that. LeBron played great, but so did Wade.
Actually Wade didn't play great..

He played well enough in the 2nd half, but he was awful in the 1st half, and you can't just ignore that.

I agree Wade was all kinds of terrible in the first half. But without Wade and even Haslem in the 2nd half, I don't think the effort by Lebron would've helped.

It was all Lebron until the rest of the team woke up.

This was actually a well-officiated game. I didn't really see any egregious calls being made for/against either team.

I thought it was well-called both ways too. They only missed a couple of egregious calls but it evened out. Mostly just missed traveling.

I don't understand why Spoelstra doesn't play Haslem more often. The guy comes alive in the post-season and he plays hard all the time.

Because ever since his injury last year, he has been a black hole on offense, and unable to get a rebound in traffic. And on defense he's hasn't been the same.

Bynum is clearly a better offensive player. He's terrific with either hand, his jump shot has improved tremendously, he's got very good hands, and unlike Howard he can make free throws. Howard scores most of his points off lobs and put backs. He's been in the league 7 years and still has yet to develop a consistent low post game. The only reason Howard averages more points is because he's the 1st option. Bynum is only getting worn down because of the ridiculous amount of minutes the clown plays him. Bynum is a terrific defender, but as I said earlier his teammates often put him in bad spots because they can't keep their man in front of him. Bynum has been in the league 6 years but what does that matter? It wasn't till this year that he become a featured part of the offense and obviously he improved tremendously. Howard has been option #1 since day 1. Bynum is far better offensively, Howard is better defensively. In short it's a wash.

I'm just not a fan of Howard, at all. Good player, but not as good as his fame suggests. He's on a team that's built completely around him. Offense runs through him so he should have better offensive stats.

In LA, the offense runs through Kobe and everybody else gets scraps. I think if Bynum goes to a team that runs the offense through him, I think he'd have a lot higher impact than what he does now.

Ultimately, it's about how the two players are used. They're both centers, but their teams use them quite differently.

here is the thing for me, bynum is immature on the court as well as off. you can say howard is a ****** and all that, but once he gets on the court, he is all business. i also think the shape they are both in is a HUGE factor. you almost never see howard get tired at the end of games unless he has played 42+ minutes and has gotten fouled hard multiple times. bynum is in the prime of his life, at the peak of his metabolism as far as his NBA career is concerned, and he seems kind of chubby and out of shape by the time the fourth quarter rolls around. He needs to get in better shape if he wants to be a franchise center like howard is.

i only saw bits and pieces of the game, but from what i saw they got hibbert in foul trouble by going to the basket early and often. if they want to win this series, i think getting him in foul trouble early is a big factor. pretty obvious, but i believe the game 5 winner will win the series.

Yeah, LeBron did what he's supposed to do today.

supposed to do? Its been 25 years since the last time anybody had the stats Lebron put up today in a playoff game.

@Rachel__Nichols How rare was today? RT @tomhaberstroh LeBron finishes w/40 pts,18 reb,9 asst. No1 has done that in playoffs in 25 years

add 2 steals and 2 blocks

Actually he's not all business. I probably watched the Magic more than any other team besides the Lakers and Spurs and many times he was seen laughing and joking around. Dude is a straight up clown. He's not a franchise player either last time I checked Orlando hasn't won a title with him as their franchise player.

ya, he clowns around on the bench, but he has never been accused of not playing hard until one game this season, but then it came out he needed season ending back surgery, so he gets a pass. and just because you dont have a title it doesnt eliminate you from being a franchise player, both him and lebron sure are, as were malone and the round mound.

The game of basketball is not all about stats.

Keep on throwing the truth at him...if you get it to stick I'll be surprised.

lebron and wade stepped up, but their supporting cast is suspect at best, i just dont think they can beat the celtics without some help from the zebras.

I'm sorry, but Dwight has no business being compared to LeBron or Malone. As I said he's constantly clowning around on and off the court.

give me one example of him "clowning" around on the court, not on the bench, on the court, while in a game.

also, taking it back to a previous topic, the 99 spurs ran through the playoffs and so did the 83 (i think) sixers, the "fo, fo, fo" moses team. so, its happened before, but its rare.

Man I really wish I could rag on the Floppers epic choke job, but I can't. :banghead:

well, they still do have the most epic comeback in NBA history, so even they cant get too much crap for it.
