Yeah, Beli wasn't anywhere near the radar that I knew of. And it was about 20 minutes from the time Woj broke that we were in serious talks to the time when we had signed a two-year deal. Nobody gets inside info on the Spurs. Ignore any "rumors" you think you know.

thats because the Spurs dont mess around. they run the organization like it is a govt covert ops group. you dont know till they tell you and even then you still dont know.

really like the mavs signing of calderon.
very underrated player.
played in purgatory in canada but was quietly a top 5 PG for past 5 seasons.

He's good, but top 5?!?!? That's preposterous!

MWP is being amnestied! That would be an amazing backup to Kawhi! Hopefully he doesn't get a crazy offer from some crap team with space!

He was actually second to only Paul in pure point guard rating.

Obviously you have Paul, Parker, Westbrook.
After that it gets messy.

Rondo is seriously injured.
Rose is seriously injured and hasn't played in forever.

Deron Williams has been a top 5 guy but has been very inconsistent.
Nash is basically done.

There really aren't many good PGs out there. Wall and Irving and kids and may get there but they are not there yet.

Calderon has been putting up phenomenal assist to turnover ratio and pure efficiency numbers.
He's done so with very little around him offensively and in remote locales.

Dallas signed Wayne Ellington...next up

Monte Ellis has cut his list to 4 teams
Dallas, Atlanta, Charlotte, Sacramento

Also, the Mavs are pursuing Andrew Bynum. But Cleveland may be the front-runner

Calderon isn't even close to top 5, he's also limited defensively. Good player, but not even close to elite.

Rose, Irving, Westbrook, Paul, Rondo, Parker, Lillard, Holiday, Irving, Williams, Lawson to name some.

Ellis got screwed in this deal. I suspect that Ellis bought into the talk of going to the team that signs Howard. Had that been L.A., the chances were probably better then average that the Lakers would have signed him. Since it's not, I am not certain if Houston can or even would sign him. Either way, the deal he had with the extension offered by Bucks is proving to be much more lucrative then what he might expect to see from any other team this year. He probably should have taken that.

If Bynum signs with Cleveland you know he's done and only doing it for one last payday

He's going to Cleveland I believe it's official now. I can't stand the guy anyway. He's a great player when healthy but major major head case.

I was told Dallas pulled out due to the knees. He still may have gone to Cleveland anyway.

Might be time to seriously consider trading Dirk he's not got that many years left and he deserves better then this. The mavs can get some picks or what ever to help rebuild and Dirk can end his carer on a playoff team

Lakers amnesty Metta World Peace
By Dave McMenamin | ESPNLosAngeles.com

He came to Los Angeles as the ringless Ron Artest and, after being waived via the amnesty clause, leaves L.A. as former champion Metta World Peace.

The Los Angeles Lakers officially parted ways with World Peace on Thursday night in an NBA luxury tax-cutting measure that will mean approximately $14 million in savings for the team.
