2013 NBA playoff thread

Ur not beating the Heat. I think 10 days off is actually making it worse. Spurs are playing well. 10 Days is long time. Miami actually has scoring in every position and defense and rebounding. Memphis had Tony Allen and Conley as guards lol.All Spurs had to do was pack the paint. They cant do that with Miami at all.

And against Golden State, they didn't pack the paint at all, and guarded the wings - and it worked. It's not like packing the paint is the only defense that they're capable of. They had...you know....a game plan.

They won't defend Miami the same way they defended Memphis. And they didn't defend Memphis the same way they defended Golden State. And they didn't defend Golden State the same way they defended the Lakers.

I agree that ten days is too much of a layoff, but I think it's funny that people are just acting like it's an afterthought that the Heat are just going to steamroll San Antonio. This series is very winnable for the Spurs. Miami doesn't look unbeatable, at all. They've already lost one to Indiana, and were very close to being down 2-1.

Ok I'm here to take my lumps. I knew it would be a tough series but I never expected a sweep. We were simply out coached and played. Good luck vs Miami even though I'd prefer Indy to win. Small market vs small market Sterns worst nightmare.

And GS gave them fits. If it wasn't for dumb young mistakes they had a better chance.I don't think Miami steamrolls but im saying Heat in 6 over Spurs.

While its likely that the heat will win it all, it's not like this would be a pats/rams type upset. Id say its about 60/40 in Miami's favor. The spurs have advantages, most glaring of all at Pg, but also at the bigs and coaching. It should be a good one.

How did they give them fits? In game 1, Curry blew up in the 3rd, and the Spurs survived it. In Game 2, Klay Thompson turned into Larry Bird, and GS stole one. And then the Spurs locked the two of them down for the rest of the series. They figured out how to play them, and locked them down. Check the stats of their shooting after game 2.

Most glaring advantage to me is Duncan/Splitter. Lebron is the Heat's PG and their perimeter D is much more reliable than interior.

He runs the offense but he won't be guarding TP. Whomever has to is gonna have a long series. I hope the heat are stupid enough to put wade on him, his offense would suffer tremendously

This is payback for the 1st round exit you guys gave us 2 years ago....but no reason to be too disappointed. Though it was a sweep, the Grizzlies made the Spurs work for it in the final 3 games.

you sure do come across as completely butthurt. your venom is quite toxic. Medusa, is that you? I love your hatred and envy of the best team in Texas and the best small market franchise in American Pro Sports.

last night we got great news..........we are in the Finals

today we got sad news.......Coach Bud is leaving the organization to become the new HC of the Hawks....hope he can turn that mess around, I believe he will be working with Danny Ferry.

Ya, luckily he is staying until after the finals are over. I hope we replace him with PJ again, he and pop worked well together before.

ESPN is often way off base when it comes to predictions. I'm sure they all chose Miami as the East champion, which makes me hope Indiana wins out even more.

In fairness, in the preseason, who didn't think it was going to be a Lakers/Thunder vs. Heat Finals? The Lakers just imploded, and the Thunder lost their 1A guy.

Watching the game last night - and the ECF in general - the Pacers are going to be scary team moving forward. They have a stud center in Hibbert and a very solid frontline with he and West. They have amazing young wings in Stephenson and George, and a solid big defensive/shooting PG for the system in Hill. Add in Granger, if he comes back, and this team is going to challenge for the East for years.

They still need a consistent outside shooter.
