Why would they do that? Because of his injuries?

Probably more because of contract, and the breakouts of Paul George and Lance Stephenson.

That is what Granger is.

Meh not really. He can shoot but he's not a "shooter". Granger has a larger role, he's an outside shooter similar to George.

Watching the game last night - and the ECF in general - the Pacers are going to be scary team moving forward. They have a stud center in Hibbert and a very solid frontline with he and West. They have amazing young wings in Stephenson and George, and a solid big defensive/shooting PG for the system in Hill. Add in Granger, if he comes back, and this team is going to challenge for the East for years.

Wouldn't quite put Stephenson in the "amazing" category. :laugh2:

He's a pretty good 2; nothing more or less.

In fairness, in the preseason, who didn't think it was going to be a Lakers/Thunder vs. Heat Finals? The Lakers just imploded, and the Thunder lost their 1A guy.

Me, and anyone that realized losing James harden wasn't gonna be easy to overcome.

There is high speculation he's going to get amnested in the off season.

Doubt it, he will be in the final year of his contract, moving him to a team that wants to create space for the lebronathon next summer could fetch them something worthwhile. Any extension to PG wouldn't take effect until granger comes off the books anyway

Well, obviously it was going to be hard to overcome - but without Harden, they still had the best record in the West, and would have probably at least gone to the WCF against San Antonio if Westbrook hadn't gotten hurt. Losing Harden was manageable. Losing Westbrook AND Harden was not.

Lebron, Stephenson, and West fined for flopping. I wonder if anyone is going to ask Stern why Wade and Battier avoided a fine. If they fined Battier every time he flopped he'd lose his game check.

I want the Spurs to sweep the Heat in the Finals.

even i cant see that being even remotely possible. there is a great chance the spurs will lose game 1, and lose it badly! they are gonna come out struggling after all this rest. i could see the spurs sweeping all 3 games in SA tho

Game one or two right before the half he dribbles between two Grizzlies and wasn't even touched and fell down like he'd been shot and of course the refs call a foul.

And no I'm not butthurt. We were beaten by a better team. I can accept that.

They had no issues overcoming losing Harden while Westbrook was healthy.
In fact they won a higher % of their games this year than last while Westbrook was healthy.

The Lakers were never going to make it to the Finals. That was the true fool's gold. Old Nash, banged up DH, terrible offensive fit, terrible defenders other than DH and a lack of any quality depth whatsoever. You can see me make those points before the season in the Lakers thread. I certainly thought they'd make the playoffs... but Finals was a pipe dream.

I hate the Spurs but I ALWAYS pointed out they'd be better than the Lakers. They have a real team and arguably the best coach in the league.

I'm a Spurs fan but in all honesty, the Heat are a bad matchup for the Spurs.

Its interesting to see how people critique Lebron James due to their natural hate for him but are very quick to defend Romo when they are in similar situations. Despite having Wade and Bosh, they haven't done jack squat the last two series. Lebron has to single handedly carry the team. Yet, if/when they lose, people are critical of him and in the same respect, defend Romo because of his "lack of help" (I put that in quotes because there are differing opinions when it comes to that subject).

In my eyes, they are both in similar spots where they have to literally carry the team in order for their respective teams to be even semi successful.

easy.....Romo is a Cowboy. LeBron is not on our favorite team. BTW, Lebron has acted childish, immature, and has been a poor sport in past seasons. It wasn't until he actually won the title that he grew up. Tony never acted in such a childish manner after choking, even in the playoffs.

its more likely that the Heat will sweep the Spurs.
I doubt Cheat will sweep Spurs. I say they beat them in 6. Actually both Eastern teams are rough on Spurs. Hibbert would give Splitter and Timmy fits as would wings. Miami just has too much speed and talent for everyone. Its pretty clear. Lebron has been going Jordan on people without much help fron Chrissy and wheelchairwade and Ray Allen. Imagine when they start hitting. Haslem is always a problem. I admire the Spurs cause like Indy they play as a team. But just like the Bulls in the 90s mass talent takes over in basketball. The French Fairy is gonna give Heat some fits but hes probably at times gonna be guarded by Bron Bron that's a nightmare for SA.lol. SA HAS to play half court ball they cannot run for 48 minutes.
