easy.....Romo is a Cowboy. LeBron is not on our favorite team. BTW, Lebron has acted childish, immature, and has been a poor sport in past seasons. It wasn't until he actually won the title that he grew up. Tony never acted in such a childish manner after choking, even in the playoffs.

I understand the natural bias being that Romo is a Cowboy and Lebron isn't. However, it is debatable as to whether Lebron has acted childish/immature. I'm going to assume "The Decision" is what you could be refering to as well as the Dirk "fake sickness" rediculing, which I'll be the first to admit, was SUPER childish. Not to make any excuses for him, but it was DWade that intiated it, and he seemed to be following suit.

You also have to bear in mind that Lebron was being put on a pedestal since he was going through puberty with Sports Illustrated calling him "The Chosen One" so honestly, I think he's handled all that quite well. If you are referencing his comments after the finals loss, what he said was in reference to his haters and its 100% true. Those that hate on him and take pride and joy that he lost in the finals still have to wake up the next day and deal with the same problems they had prior to him losing. I didn't take offense to his comment because I wasn't one of the people who took joy in him "choking."

I expect Tony to be more naturally humble being that he went from possibly not playing in the NFL at all, to playing for Americas Team. When he made those comments about "If losing a football game is the worst to happen to me, I've lived a pretty good life" I didn't get my panties all in a bunch like most people did. Yes, as a fan, you don't want your franchise QB to say that. But if you look at where Romo was and where he is now, if he doesnt win a title, it really doesn't matter because he's accomplished so much when he probably had a good chance of not being where he is at all today.

actually no I wasn't referring to that stuff, but you can add it to the mix. I dont like Lebron and I never will. He may have great ability and talent, but he has been shoved down our throats for years. we were forced to accept his greatness even before he earned it. He has to be coddled and pampered or else he turns into a big baby. He is pathetic and not anywhere near the class of the all-time greats from before him.

Romo has made his fair share of mistakes....however, he has handled all of his failures with dignity and class. He hasn't been a sore loser or a sore winner. Also, while Tony has failed to produce, he has had tons of help. In the Seattle game, everyone remembers the botched hold......no one talks about the rest of the game, like Glenn's fumble that became a safety. Dallas lost by 2. Romo gets blamed for the Giants game because of Cabo. However, he played a very good game. His receivers and TEs gave him little to no help though. Dropped TDs and first downs plagued Romo. Also, the OL quit at halftme. Reeves singlehandedly gave the Giants a TD in the final minute of the first half. I give Romo a pass for those two losses. He doesnt get a pass for the other key losses though. Romo is one of the best QBs in the league. Jones has done a huge disservice by not giving him a top end OL, a top end RB, and a non-choking defense.

The bold just about sums things up. We'll have to agree to disagree especially since I don't want to derail this thread. But the same way you claim Romo hasn't had help, the case can be made for Lebron in Cleveland. He took several Cavs teams to the best regular season record in the NBA for several years with his best starter being Mo Williams. In 2007, he took a Cavs team with starters such as Eric Snow and Larry Hughes, players that wouldn't be starters on any other NBA team, to the finals. He also dropped 45 in an ECF LOSS, which is VERY similar to Romo having a QB rating of 112 in a loss in an elimination game which he gets blame for. But guess what? That's the way it works. Lebron got blamed until he won a title, and Romo will get the blame as well. IMO, Lebron could have whined and cried as Kobe did about needing more help, and demand a trade. Instead, he quietly asked management to get him Staudimire and the best they could do was Antwan Jamison. So when his contract expired, he packed up and left. Granted, the decision wasn't the best way to do things, although the proceeds went straight to the Boys Club IN CLEVELAND which NOBODY talkes about.

I do find the "shoving down our throats" comment about Lebron interesting as that is exactly what NFL fans say about the Cowboys. We haven't done squat, but we are constantly in the news and on TV. Romo also making the pro bowl after starting only 4 games can also be considered a case of this as well, especially considering how downhill his play went after that Saints game in 2006.

The irony in all this is that Lebron is a huge Romo supporter and a big time Cowboys fan.

BTW, GO SPURS GO

DJ Augustin really seems to suck, thought he'd be a better pro.

His good years are past him; he had a couple in Charlotte.

yeah I expected him to be better as well.

BTW, I am so loving the Hill/Leonard trade right now. Leonard is doing better for the Spurs than Hill is for the Pacers.

Monday's game hopefully will live up to the billing. I just hope the refs don't take it over for one side or the other......please let the teams decide the outcome.

At this time, I am still torn as to which team I want to lose to the Spurs in the Finals....

Doesn't the Birdman remind you of Steve Howe from baseball.....so many extra chances after drug issues.

Wade should just retire...my god he has regressed so badly lol

He is still better than most players. He just doesn't have the explosiveness anymore.

I think he can be a pg on a championship like team (OKC, LAL, or even Houston?). He could be the next Ron Harper.

Lebron is never going to win anything if the Heat refuse to surround him with talent.

I hope lebron goes back to Cleveland, it's pretty much his only move that will let me cheer for him again

I'll be shocked if Hibbert doesn't have 2 fouls in the first 4 minutes.

I disagree with that, the trade has worked great for both teams. Obviously Hill isn't going to shine as much in this series because they are taking advantage of the paint.
