The funniest things is he let Baynes play get him ejected. Dude had to want to be ejected to get a ref to throw him at that point because you know the Ref was going to give him more lead-way being a star and already having one tech.

Opponent

Bucks- one of the worst defenses in the league, a sub .500 playoff team

Rockets- attrocious defensive team

Celtics- one of the best defensive teams in the league

Lebron and KD do that vs. any team.

Melo should not shoot 10-35 ever, that was just a god awful performance, but of course he would never decide to start facilitating others.

That is true. It is also true that both Durant and James shot higher percentages than Anthony during the regular season, so it isn't just about one single game.

but its also true that the second best offensive players on those guys' teams are a lot better than melo's

wade/westbrook are on a completely different stratosphere than JR Freaking Smith!

i just want to make it clear, that i dont think in any way, shape or form that Melo is even close to being as good to LBJ or KD, just that i personally believe he is the best scorer in the league, because he can do it in more ways than those two guys. he is like a hybrid of what lebron and KD do best

LeBron led the league in ppg with 30.0 in 2007-2008. He had 3 seasons in Cleveland where he averaged more ppg than Anthony did this season. That isn't the point anyway. Anthony led the league in scoring average this season, but that doesn't make him the best scorer. Just the top scorer. He easily shot more times per game than the other top scorers in the league.

One season, where he led the league, which is sufficient to refute the fact that Lebron could supposedly do it when he wanted, but he choses not to. One year he did it, in a crappy Eastern conference and he had to bear the burden then. Lebron is not the greatest offensive threat in the league, plain and simple.

Every NBA player essentially says Lebron's game is his all-around ability and it is why, in one-on-one match-ups, NBA players like Durant say Kobe would win clearly in a one-on-one match up against Lebron.

I never said LeBron was the best scorer in the league. I just think he is better than Melo. So are Kobe and Durant.

One year Carmelo led the league in scoring in a tough Eastern conference.... Oh wait, no he didn't.

LBJ would smother those dudes on defense and none of them can guard Lebron. He could easily post them up and use his strength or blow by them. We aren't talking 1 on 1 though, we are talking scoring.

KD/LBJ/Kobe > Melo

It's pretty damn easy to see Lebron can score better than Melo. He scores more points at a much higher percentage. Nothing else is needed. Same goes for KD. Kobe also still shoots a higher percentage than Melo and is only like 1ppg off his scoring in the West.

Melo is that guy who will always score, but he will score inefficiently and never win a title. Lebron even has a higher three-point % than Melo lol. He's just flat out better than him in every single aspect of the game and it isn't even close.

I just know that if my life depended on a guy scoring a basket on Bruce Bowen in his prime, I'd take melo over any of the other guys, or dirk for that matter, another amazing scorer

Also, to the whole melo is a loser in the playoffs thing, his teams usually beat teams with worse records, and lose to better teams, that's not a knock on him, it's just basketball, he has never had a team near as good as this year's Knicks

well Houston won, and I am glad, but the refs screwed up on that last possession. Asik fouled that guy who shot the ball. They didn't call, it, but they should have.

Harden has choked away the last minute of the last 3 games. He has been horrible down the stretch, with turnovers and missed shots....when he actually does complete the pass it is to a guy who is guarded in the deep corner with no chance of a quality look. Harden is very unclutch right now.

Melo just won the scoring title and Melo isn't the best offensive player in the league.... But that is besides the point, which was really in relation to Lebron being a guy who can 'score at will' if he wanted to. He was in Cleveland when he had to bear the burden and never won a scoring title, except once. And that was when the Eastern conference was at it's weakest. Kevin Durant is right now, the best scorer in the league.

Plus, he gets away with lowering the shoulder all the time on smaller guards, travelling and hand guarding in reality. The problem with Lebron is he can't hide his ever expanding jaw, along with Wade.

That is Harden for you. When he holds the ball, the offensive players don't move. He played horrible in last years finals with the Thunder and is one of the primary reasons they lost.

westbrook wasnt there for this KD scoring output.
bottom line is carmelo needs 5 more shots to do what KD does.

He needs entirely new skillsets to do what lebron does.

carmelo is a volume shooter.

he is a taller AI.
good luck to the Knicks winning until he grows up and learns to pass the ball.
