2015-2016 NBA Season Thread

D russell might change that...
kid is gonna b good.

It would work against my sixers though :(

We'll get back. At least your coach is a lot better than ours. Scott is teaching the youngsters how to be NBA players but he isn't doing anything that will make up playoff contenders.

Scott will be out the door with Kobe imo.... but he is a taskmaster, which is good for the youngsters...

I'm still not sold on B. Brown... his late game decision, and rotation is questionable....

Let the Simmons Lottery begin!

We all know Simmons is going to the Lakers. The lottery is fixed.

It's already done. I'm sorry. You can try to get Jordan Clarkson . o_O

lol...

Im holding out hope that its not fixed...but I do feel the "Laker pull"...

I have high hopes for Brandon Ingram, Kris Dunn, & Jamal Murrary as well... Haven't seen enough of Bender (foreign big)... besides, we don't need anymore bigs.. The rest of the draft is pretty weak, with Hield, Demetrius Jackson, Ellison,Lavert, and Jaylen Brown all having a chance to be nice players..

Stephen Curry is ridiculous. In the playoffs I have my worst player accidently punch his lights out in the first minute of the first game, he won't come back with a broken jaw. Short of that, prepare to be embarrassed. GS is unstoppable in a 7 game series.

Kind of similar to what S.A. did to Phoenix that one year. They knew they weren't going to beat Phx with their full squad in a 7 game series. So Horry "fouled" Nash and they got Diaw and Amare to react from the bench.

The Spurs have never played the Suns knowing they absolutely weren't going to win. Nash ran into Horry, the video don't lie. The foul was called and the Sun's fans still to this day have not stopped crying about it. If it only requires taking out one guy to beat a team then maybe they aren't all that in the first place. If GS is smart, they know this. Diaw and Amare have personal responsibility for how they react to what happens from the court. But thanks for reminding me of a very pleasant memory. LOL :D

So, the plan was to hip check Nash and not injure him, (you can't convince me that Nash didn't sell that dive, because he didn't even hit that hard, and those tables/boards are not solid) but to get Amare and Diaw to step onto the court, thereby getting a league mandated one game suspension? Pop is a puppet master, because that was executed flawlessly.

Also, the Spurs were leading 2-1 going into that game, so they had already done pretty ok against a full Suns squad.

No they aren't. Portland beat them by 30+ points. In a 7 game series, anything can happen. Double team Curry, make others beat you. Teams will adjust.

GS beat the Spurs by 30 so what are you saying? Portland would beat the Spurs by 60? The Spurs own Portland. Every team is capable of having a bad game, that's what makes the NBA's playoff format so compelling as opposed to the NFL's one and done format. In a 7 game series, the best team wins.

Saying Warriors aren't invincible. I myself still take Cavs over Warriors. A healthy Cavs team last year I think beats GS.

Are you so sure the Cavs win the East?

Nothing is sure. Just as the Warriors winning the west (to get to the finals) Cavs have an easier path to the finals in my opinion than the Warriors. (Warriors possibly could face the Spurs, OKC, Clipps, to get there).

The Cavs path is easier because they are in the East. If you know how the playoffs work then you know GS will not have to go through all those teams you listed. The Spurs will take some out and those two teams will meet in the WCF. But you are correct in saying nothing is sure. Remember how many injuries the Cavs had last year? They were clearly the best team from the East until that happened. The same could happen to GS or the Spurs all though those teams seem to be more adapt to playing like that with deep benches.

I have been following the NBA since 1979. I brought up those 3 teams in the West because anyone of them has a shot at beating the Warriors. In the East, Cavs have who?

That's what I'm saying... the Cavs have who in the East? OKC had a great shot at beating GS last night and didn't get it done.
