My Pirates took down the Wolfpack at home today. Close game and very entertaining. Good call DFWJC.

That makes 6 straight wins against the ACC.
ESPNU in Dallas.

ECU crowd is always rockin'
50,000 strong

They're saying the refs got the rule wrong and Central Michigan should never have gotten the untimed down. Seems pretty simple to me to say OSU gets the win since the game clock was at zeros. i don't expect that to happen. Gundy screwed up in the first place. Why run a play like that? That is bad coaching. Have the QB run around to the sideline and then throw it out of bounds to burn the clock. Or have the QB quick punt it.

Go Central Michigan University.

I like to think they punch above their weight.... Best WR in the NFL (Antonio Brown), #1 overall pick in the draft a few years back (Eric Fischer), and occassionally winning games against teams like OSU.

Man, this TCU/Arkansas game got crazy good at the end. In overtime now
Every time I looked in TCU started messing up. I went back to packing then caught it when TCU was up so I sat down and watched. Then the block, the Arkansas score, and the loss. Sorry TCU I won't watch you any more this year as I'm obviously bad luck to yall.

Mini wrap-up of the games we thought might be decent today

Miss State 27, South Carolina 14 It was really not even that close.
Miss States freshman QB is already breaking records.

Arkansas 41, TCU 38 in 2OT. The game lived up to it's close billing. One of the best games for sure.

East Carolina 33, NC State 30. Lived up to it's rivalry billing. 6 straight for ECU > ACC teams.

Tennessee 45, Va Tech 24. Set NCAA attendance record by a mile with 156,990. Game was in Bristol, TN.
Not a great game though

Utah 20, BYU 19. Rivalry game lived up to its billing.

Arizona St 68, Texas Tech 55. Shootout went to ASU.

And this is why when Texas Tech's defense shut down Geno Smith a few years ago, I immediately wrote him off as an overrated **** ty QB

That Arizona State/Texas Tech game was awful. There reaches a point where shootouts lose their appeal when the defenses just don't care anymore and can't tackle anyone.

Assuming the Big 12 expands, tonight's Houston at Cincy game involves the two most likely additions

The best candidate, BYU, has too much political baggage

basing that on field accomplishments?
Not that I'm a fan, but they have by far the largest national following (which is more than Cincy and Houston combined) and overall rep. It's not close according to everything I've read from the Big 12 sources.

Even today on both ESPN and a Dallas station they were saying they'd be a coup.

Even on the field, historically, they are probably better...including a national title....though that is not the bottom line.
But they don't play on Sundays and they have a LGBT position that would cause a lot of boycotts and pretests.

I think they rate much higher academically as well.
Last I looked it was BYU 68, Cincy 135, Houston 194

But I think it's Cincy and Houston.
Then after the TV contract is up in 2024, most feel Texas and OU are gone.

Anyway, I have no skin in the game. Just going by what I've heard and read.
Makes no difference at all to me

any idea where they plan to go?
Not really. That's 8 years from now and it's all speculation.
They did say Texas backers, predi t and AD want to be aligned with national research universities that have great sports and academics...so schools more like them....which would mean Big 10, Pac 12 or ACC. But I highly doubt it'd be ACC...
They specifically mentioned Big 10 now ahead of Pac 12.

Again, all speculation. So much changes...who knows.
