we get burned with 4pm starts for eastern games all the time, you get used to it

What is the problem with a game starting at 4 PM ET(1 PM PT)? The games are over early enough to go out for a nice dinner or anything else you'd like. A noon ET(9 AM PT) kickoff would be nice, too. Get the football watching started out early.

4pm PT.

Game that start at that time during the week suck big time when you do not finish work until 6pm.

not sure how that relates to games ending at 1:30 in the morning. you lost me there somewhere.

we on the west coast get burned with early starts during the week all the time. You have to adapt to a time difference issue. A game ending for you at 1:30am is not any worse than when we have M-F games starting at 4pm our time.

WUT!?!?!

Texas Tech babay! Their defense is gonna shock the world!
I had high hopes then the best CB and Best LB manage to get kicked out of school.
I mean if we were Baylor or an SEC school they'd be around but for some reason Tech tries to actually punish kids.

Nigel Bethel, a high 4 star CB from Miami and easily our best cover guy for grades. He simply flunked out. Likely ends up in NFL at least on a practice squad.

Dakota Allen, LB who started as a true freshman and helped us finally stop the run... was kicked out for breaking into a home and stealing guns.
He transferred to East Mississippi CC(one of the strongest JUCOs around) and will likely end up in the SEC next year.

crap, its a miracle they do as well as they do imo. I enjoyed my time there but if I was a great athlete, thats one of the last places Id want to play, thats why I was so pissed when the regents pulled a jerry/jimmy and ran off Leach who got that program, to heights perhaps no one can again.

thx for the info

I've lived on both coasts and games ending at 0130 are WAY worse than games ending at 4PM. At least you can follow games on your phone/internet/etc. It's kinda hard to follow games when you're asleep.

Games STARTING at 4pm are brutal when you are still at work. You have to turn off all social media so that you do not hear the score etc

Just stay up late to 130am or at worst, you can record the end and watch the next morning as you likely will not have heard the score.

yes they are and everyone knows it, you record it and watch when you get home, fast forward through the BS, works perfect for you. I do it all the time when I work on Saturday, big deal.

Lubbock is better now then it was when I went but yea, it's not exactly sexy for big time recruits... then again most college towns aren't.
You couldn't pay me to live in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The way Leach went out and his absurd firing rankled me for sure but his time at Wazzu leads me to believe the rest of the world has caught up to his system.
The bigger issue may well have been not getting Briles in here when he was begging for the job.

If this season goes poorly for KK we could see a Briles hire now with his son as OC.

The issue is we need someone who can really recruit defense. We have a guy who can coach it, but he needs players.

I was there with Zach Thomas and Marcus Coleman so Spike could definitely recruit defense.

I loved Spike. He seemed perfect for Tech as well and I thought he was probably as good as they could get and then they got Leach, so what do I know.

The Briles hiring is extremely intriguing, I just read LSU reached out to him so that'll be interesting to see how that plays out.

Did they hire Tubby over Briles? That guy struck me as an arrogant jerk that didn't fit the culture of Lubbock at all and it appeared he didn't want to be there.

Briles was part of Leach's staff and probably considered too close to him for Tech to hire him....

Tubs was supposed to ring defense to the South Plains but instead brought a lot of highly recruited guy that never played or went home ASAP.
Tubs was obviously looking for a career rebuilder and fat paycheck. Eyes always seemed to be elsewhere.

I do wish we had his top recruiter, Robert Prunty still around. But he's now asst head coach at Cincy under tubs.

Did anyone catch that Tennessee/Georgia ending?

Holy ****!

I wish I was in Vegas to watch the betters go from joy to sorrow and back within seconds. Probably some winning tickets lying around on sports book floors all over Vegas

The North Carolina/ Florida State game was wild too.

UNC led in Tallahassee 28-14.
FSU came all the way back to tie late in the 4th
Then UNC drove for the go ahead TD , but missed the PAT...so 34-28. 2minutes
FSU drove all the way to take the lead with 18 seconds....35-34
NC. Got to the FSU side of the field and made a 64 yard per with no time.
37-35. TAr Heels

Then that wild UGA/Tenn game!

Is DeShaun Watson really the top QB prospect in college?

I am not seeing it.
