2016 Texas Rangers Thread

This team is looking special guys, just strap in and enjoy the ride. Hopefully we can stay this hot, but all these guys will get cold at some point I just hope everyone else can step up.

Sweeping the Astros again would be a thing of beauty. Yu and Perez have a shot to do that.

I'm pretty sure they really don't like the look down those two barrels. This rotation is awesome.

I think the Rangers are going to have to do something to improve their bullpen.

The blow-up loss vs. the Red Sox in the 9th inning is going to be a much more common occurrence with the starting staff down 3 starters– it wasn't a good bullpen to begin with and now it's going to be an overworked bullpen.

On top of that it looks like Fielder's age & conditioning have caught up to him.

yep, its fixin to get pretty ugly unless JD reels in another one of his signature one sided trades.....we still have a dang good farm system so it shouldnt be too hard to get another rotation guy and another bullpen arm.....

How do you give up a 7-2 lead in a game like that? Pathetic.

The challenge is that it's going to be a big-time seller's market... Even an "OK" starter is going to cost a mint in prospects.

And the Red Sox feast on poor pitching

They're all on the Big Sloppi nutrition and supplement program. :D

Yep, and just about every contending team out there outside of maybe Washington, Mets and the Cubs is looking for arms.

No one is going to get starter cheaply. Even a decent reliever is going to get a nice return.

With the 2nd wildcard now it means even more teams will be hesitant to sell if they think they have a chance. Most likely any pitcher worth acquring will be an overpay.

I think its prob good for the game overall since we prob wont see teams loading up on rentals to make a run. More teams in it and alive means more teams prob keeping what they have.

I agree. I like the 2nd WC.

I love how you fans of other teams come in here and **** doom and gloom for the Rangers.

Go ahead and sell them off. They are still one of the top two teams in all of baseball.

No doom & gloom.

Obviously they've played darn well so far this season.

But they were/are due for some drop-off.

The one-run win/loss record was unsustainable and with losing 3 out 5 starters...

Well, it's bound to happen.

See, this is EXACTLY what I'm talking about. One game is not a drop off. (.800 baseball!) The Rangers are 8-2 in their last ten games. They are still tied for the best record in baseball which is something they just achived recently. If someone is dropping off, it was the Cubs allowing the Rangers to catch them.

The Cubs were definitely due for a drop-off.

And until the Astros learn how to beat them... The Rangers are in command of the division.

This team is special. If they can stay healthy the rest of the way, watch out. (Currently 3 starters on the DL). Add a bullpen arm and watch out.
