See, this is EXACTLY what I'm talking about. One game is not a drop off. (.800 baseball!) The Rangers are 8-2 in their last ten games. They are still tied for the best record in baseball which is something they just achived recently. If someone is dropping off, it was the Cubs allowing the Rangers to catch them.

And Houston is 8-2 in their last 10 . . . . . . . . . . . .

Haha, Houston. GL with that.

Rangers won't be caught in the West, it ain't happenin. Even with 3 SP on the DL.

Darvish threw a bullpen session today and Kela is expected back around the all star break.

AJ Griffin has also shown he can be decent enough to manage a game behind this offense. If Chi Chi can prove serviceable we'll be fine.

Tied with the Cubs for the best record in baseball with a .500 Yankees team, 7 games against a bad Twins team, and another round with the struggling Red Sox before the break.

Suck it haters

Agreed there hasn't been a drop-off. But this stretch through July is going to be really important for the them, especially with a Houston team that has righted their ship, at least for the moment. The Rangers have got to figure out how to fight through this stretch with the three starters on the shelf.

I was at the game on Friday night and it was painful. They need to take advantage of as many of their opportunities in the non-Hamels starts as possible until they begin getting their A-team pitchers back. Even though it was only one game, it was painful to see that one slip away. But really encouraging to see them come back and take the series anyway.

My new stat for this stretch is WINHS. (Wins in Non-Hamels Starts). So far, 2-1.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize we were talking about Houston here. Oh that's right. We weren't. Non-Texas fans were here claiming gloom and doom for the Rangers who just won again.

btw, it's amazing that the Astros are playing so well, yet still losing ground to the Rangers. Amiright? (Astros lose 6-1, Rangers win 6-2)

Wow, yet another comeback. Amazing.

And of course, Girardi handles the loss like a true vet. What a joke.

I couldn't believe the crap Girardi tried to pull. Start the 9th and your pitcher runs into a little trouble and has command issues (the Rangers Barnette was pitching in the same conditions to end the 8th, no Rangers were complaining) walking a guy and starting Choo 3-1, so you complain about the rain and get the umpires to delay it. The umps knew they screwed up allowing it to get delayed so they held out for hours so the Rangers could finish it, because if they didn't finish last night the Yankees get the win in a 8 inning game even though they started the 9th and the tying man gets on. Only to have the Rangers turn around and win the game in the 9th was a thing of beauty.

Screw the Yankees.

Looks like another series that Rangers will not lose.
Talk about dominant; I don't think they've lost a series in the last 13? Crazy

yea, the win streak for series win ended with that silly 2 game split with Baltimore, but we still havent lost a series in forever! forget that though, if theres ever a team I wanna 4 game sweep, its the yankees, Lets do it Rangers!!

I think you mean Cincinnati. But yeah, it ended there. Still 20-6 this month so far. Best month I've ever seen from the Rangers.

Need bullpen help now. No way should we this team give up 6 in the bottom of the 9th and no way should they have lost this game tonight. Can't continue to rely on a couple players. Somebody has to get traded, unfortunately.

Wow. Give up 6 runs in the bottom of the 9th to a pathetic Yankees lineup. It happens, but with this bullpen they wont go far in October. I see trades coming to fix that mess.

That blew ***. The Yankees deserve to get swept after that bush league BS Girardi tried to pull.

They so deserved that A-Rod contract too. That has to be bar-none, the worst contract in history.

Rangers blow it again. Wow to the Yankees too.

The Yankees pitched a hell of a game. They gave up a single freaking run.

Dude, what is with all your butt-hurt about the Rangers? All you do is expound about the Rangers when something bad happens, but when it doesn't. You don't say ****.

Pineda pitched up to his potential today... that hasn't happened much lately.

Still havent LOST a series in forever though.....after that hot streak we had, .500 baseball is all we need to do until we get Darvish back and hopefully get some bullpen help at the trade deadline.....
