2016 Texas Rangers Thread

If this is the end of Prince's career, has anyone noticed that he and his dad have the same number of HRs? 319.

This is a crazy season. Good things are coming.
 
The Lucroy trade has been an absolute steal. 2 more homerun's last night. And it isnt just his bat but his presence behind the plate helping these pitchers. Heck of a job at the trade deadline.

One of the harder things to find in sports is a field general type catcher who is also a great hitter.
A guy who can manage the pitchers, gun down runners, understand the defense and opposing team hitters, frame pitches expertly...AND contribute heavily on offense.

You can probably count them on one hand.
 
Choo gone for the rest of the season with a broken forearm...

He's missed a lot of time but when he has played he's been productive.

He's a quality leadoff guy who gets on base.

I hate it for him. A guy that truly wants to be out there and help his team, bad luck just follows him in the injury department.

And when he plays he contributes... He's only hitting .250 but he's averaging a home-run about every 25 AB's which is nothing to sneeze at and he's a walking machine.
 
After the injury to Choo last night, I'm going to call the MLB office and ask if the Rangers can be allowed to play the remainder of this season's games encased in bubble wrap.

Guys over 30 are just more apt to break down and the Rangers have had several.
 
You know. The offense for this team for lack of a better word, sucks. It really concerns me come September and going into October.

Same here. Bautista and Odur should literally just shake hands at the beginning of the series so the media doesn't run with that storyline.
 
Did anyone hear the news that Rangers RP Jeremy Jeffress was arrested for DWI early this morning?
 
The rangers are a completely different team at home. They should have home field advantage in every series they play in the playoffs.

The way they are playing at the ballpark they are going to be tough to deal with no matter who it is they are playing.
