Celtics heading into Warriors game with 13 game win streak and Irving playing with a mask. Dont think we will catch them napping. Game should have a playoff atmosphere, and I expect the Warriors focused on stomping us out.

Worried about Curry. This is where we miss Avery Bradley. Bradley always defended Curry well and is well suited to defend shooters. I think this game you could see a 5 of Irving, Smart, Brown, Tatum, Horford. But I think Tatum is a better match up than Brown on KD. Either way I expect the youngster to get there lunch money taken away in that matchup

yep. the celtics ended the warriors 54 game home winning streak last year. i'm sure the warriors can't wait to put a stop to boston's current streak.

why do you like tatum over brown vs. kd??

Tatum’s length IMO.

Bill Simmon’s (admitted Celts homer) keeps trying to compare Tatum to Paul Pierce which I think is bizarre. I really see a Rudy Gay type player in his prime.

Tatum is able to use his length alot better defending. I dont know if he has much more of it considering he is only an inch taller, but he seems better able to utilize it VS larger scorers. Brown's calling card defensively seems to be speed, quickness and strength. Id like to see him defending the perimeter more VS GS

Its kind of a lazy comparison. Like Pierce, Tatum is considered more a smooth athlete then an explosive one.

Tatum is hard for me to pin point. There is a belief that he may still grow 2 inches. If he does, I can see him as a two way PF, maybe in the 'Sheed mold. More of a scorer but not as good a facilitator. As a SF, actually reminds me alot of Hayward. More of an Iso guy than Hayward whereas Hayward plays better off the ball. But I think there are some similarities

I didn't want to comment much on the Celtics so far. Haven't watched them much this year, wasn't sure how good they were. I'm watching now and i see that if the playoffs go through Boston it will be a mad house and almost impossible for the road team to win.

As a Laker fan i respect the Celtics. I always want to beat them and have that childhood hate for them, but i respect what they do and who they are and how they are.

Anyone who loves to win and is a little crazy is my cup of tea.

The Lakers need less run and gun, less finesse, and more physicality. The NBA refs are good, they let nasty basketball take place to certain degree. Lakers got to push the envelope and let the dice fall where they may.

Celtics look good i would have high hopes this year if i was a fan.

Kyrie is gonna need to get hot in the 4th quarter. I dont think they can win this game leaning on Brown offensively in the 4th

There really isn't any difference in length. Being an inch taller is not meaningful... wingspan is what matters. Jaylon's was measured at 6'11.75" according to NBA.com. Best I could find on Tatum is 6'11" from a couple of sources... so for all intents and purposes, they are the same length.

Its gonna get better too, with a draft class next year boasting 4 legit franchice players.

Who are you including in the 4?

I can take a guess; but I don't want to assume anything. Basically, I want to see who you are excluding.

Bagley, Porter, Doncic and Ayton.

After that I think there is a bit of a drop off with Mamba and Bridges

Its more the way the play D. Jaylen doesnt use his length like Jayson. But Jayson has also spent more time guarding bigs where Jaylen has been defending guards. Jayson is tasked with ball denial more so then Jaylen

Ugly game all around. If you told me the Celtics would shoot below 33% and beat the Warriors I would ask you how fun into summer league we are

But Ill definitely take the win

Celts’ depth is so much deeper than the past few years IMO. I think they easily out-class the Cavs in their current form. To think how much deeper/talented they’d be with Hayward (I hope he comes back 100%).

I’m a believer in Boston much moreso than OKC and Houston.
