Real proud of him, as they went undefeated and won the Vanier last year crushing powerhouse Laval. First championship he has ever won, as he has been playing since 7 years old Lol. He plays DE and DT. Western keeps turning out great athletes. 6 members of his team got drafted to the CFL this year.

Western has a real good football program. That's excellent they he got to experience a Championship at such high level. Does he have aspirations of playing PRO (CFL or even taking a shot at the NFL.)? U of Windsor is much better known for track and field, ladies and mens basketball and sometime hockey...there might be other sports that they do well at ... those sports are the common ones.

The Jets and Vegas is going to be a good series. I think the Jets win, but Vegas continues to surprise me...

First priority is a degree and if football works out then it's a bonus. He trains hard so he has the ability to take it to the next level if he keeps it up.

Jets stopped skating and made horrible errors and it cost them. They just didn't have luck last night as they hit a few posts and got the puck behind Fleury but couldn't knock it in on a few occasions. Vegas could have scored a few more also as they hit many posts.

I said from the start Vegas would be a tough out. They are proving me right so far. The Jets rebound tonight with a win. You are right. Get the degree first...and Western is a good school. What is he hoping to pursue? If you don't mind me asking...

How did Vegas get so good so fast? Its hot as hell there and they are an expansion program, so how could they be so good in hockey so soon?

Very good front office and coaching. Fleury playing at an exceptional level helps as well.

Not the only reason, but they were gifted Marchy and Smith from Florida. Smith was a proven 45-55 point 2 way top 6 player and March had a 30 goal season the year before.
Then add in Karlsson becoming a 40 goal scorer out of the blue...

Gallant is a very good head coach too.

Tampa looked good last night. Vaz looked like a ballerina on ice last night in goal. It looked like he was stopping shots with his eyes closed. The last two minutes were insane. Go bolts

As a Bolts fan, the 2nd period was awful. Tampa got outplayed bigtime for the majority of the game. Vasy looked incredible. Without him it would be 3-1.

Interesting to see if Tampa can keep up the momentum into Amalie Saturday.

If Vasy plays like he did last night, the series is over for Wash.

It is going to take a monumental effort for any team to beat Vegas...I really can not see Tampa or Washington beating them ... and I seriously doubt the Jets are coming back...

Deryk Engelland has lived in Las Vegas since 2003.

And he's "Proud to call Las Vegas, Home.".

It's never over, that last game is the toughest to win. Remember Chicago several years ago? They came back three down and won the Cup. One game at at time now. If they win tomorrow they are right back in the series. Fleury's & Vegas luck have to turn at some point.

I'm not much of a hockey fan but does anyone find it suspicious that an expansion team is one win away from making it to the championship series?

In what other pro sport could this possibly happen?

You obviously didn't watch the video I posted in page 14 of this thread. It explains a lot.

Yes sir, I didn't see your video but thx for posting, can anyone provide cliffs so I can skip the 22 minute video?

I assume your vote is for "no shenanigans"?

First expansion team ever, to reach the finals in first year. Should they win the Cup, they'll beat the Flyers record of 7 years since expansion to win Cup. I'm thrilled Pittyburger is out of it. Time for some new teams making a run.

After the Egals winning the Superbowl, absolutely nothing in the sports world surprises me anymore.
