2017 NCAA Football thread

When it comes to Georgia, historically they crash and burn at some point. I think Auburn is improving, and only 2 loss team with realistic chance to reach CFP.

Both Miami and Clemson may be ranked in the top 4 when they play in the ACC CCG. The winner would be in...imo
I agree - but the loser would be out. So if OU is #5 going into CCG weekend, with Miami and Clemson in the top 4, then I like OU's chances. Barring an upset in the next 2 weeks, the ACC CCG is a de facto quarterfinal.
Maybe OU gets in too though. Love watching them this year.

OU, Clemson or Miami, an SEC team, and someone else.
I think if OU wins out, they're certainly in. ACC champ is almost certainly in. SEC champ is definitely in. Final team? Wisconsin if they win out is definitely in, but if they stumble it could open the door for a 2nd SEC team. Also, an OU stumble makes that possible too.

Auburn creates chaos if they win out. While that would eliminate UGA, you'd have a 1-loss Alabama team and a 2 loss Auburn team who beat 'em and won the SEC (similar to OSU-Penn State last year). Also, UGA can certainly thrown a wrench into things if they bounce back and win out (including the SEC CCG).

This week I predict we will see the playoff committee go Alabama, Clemson, Miami, OU, Wisconsin, Auburn, UGA.

Oklahoma should win out and make it into the playoff now. Pretty much, every team is still alive except for the ones in the Pac-12

Yeah, if they win out, you have to think they make it.
Who would OU face in the Big 12 CCG?

Most likely TCU but if they slip up in their last two games and OK State wins out, it will be OK State. The rematch concept is weird but better than nothing I guess...it looked like OU kept it pretty vanilla in the 2nd half because they knew they could be playing TCU again in a few weeks.

An undefeated "Power 5" conference champ will never get left out.
If Wisconsin wins out, whether or not they really are one of the 4 best--they would be in.
But they'd probably have to go through Ohio State in the Big 10 CCG

Just now checking out this thread after the weekend. My Mississippi State Bulldogs could’ve easily beaten Alabama, but just couldn’t pull it out...(7-3) with losses to Alabama, Georgia and Auburn. Unbelievable! Should finish (9-3) in regular season and end up in the Citrus Bowl.

Thought Mississippi State should’ve moved up a spot to 15. I like arguing about the entire poll not just Top 4!

Boring weekend. Playoff committee shouldn't even bother to meet.

Watched Wisconsin/Michigan game. Pretty boring until the 4th qtr. Now watching Washington/Utah.

Rosen is better than Darnold right now. Condolences to whoever ends up going to the Browns though

Miami is light years better than Notre Dame. Where's daboyzruleperiod?

"Miami won't beat Notre Dame."

What a joke LOL
Nothing like waiting till AFTER the game to call someone out. Real genius to say the least.
