Ok, I am a hockey fan, but still a novice with the rules. That offsides penalty that took away the subban goal confuses me

Great 1st period...only negative was using too much time on 5 on 3, leaving almost no time for the 5 on 4.

Smart play by bonino at the end......throw it to the front of the net and see what happens....a fortunate bounce.

What is your beef with murray......i like him
No beef. Good kid. Sound goalie who plays spectacular under the big spotlight.

I wanted Fleury to start these Finals. I was sad for him last year when he was waiting with, like, the third and fourth liners waiting for his turn to hoist the Cup. When he emerged this season and was playing well during the first half of their run (before one bad game), I was pulling for the guy.

I also don't like that a lot of people besmirch him for going number one overall over at my hockey site (basically calling him overrated/over-drafted -- this was his chance to shut up a lot of those guys).

When the puck crosses the blueline, no player entering the OZone can be completely over the line. That's why you see a lot of the guys dragging one of their legs across the blue line, waiting for the puck to cross, before they forecheck ahead

so even if most of your body is behind the line, at least part of it has to be in contact with the ice?

At least a fraction of your foot (skate) has to be straddling the defensive side of the blueline as the puck enters the opposition's OZone. Even if it's just the toe.

I want him to retire. He's a freak athlete and if he keeps going until 50, he may catch up to my idol, The Great One's record

No bueno, even tho I love Jagr.

lol.

I'm not sure he'll play till he's 50 in the NHL, he never specified which league.

For awhile I though Ovechkin might challenge Gretzky's goal record, I really did...until this year.

I agree, a couple years ago I though he might challenge it. It also would surprise me if he finishes his career in Russia.
I mean how many more heartbreaking playoff losses can he take? He is elite, no doubt, and probably a top-ten pure scorer ever, but he's a friggin ghost in the playoffs.

No one, including Ovi, is in 99's league.

5 goals and only 10 shots, I'm not sure I've ever seen that...especially the Stanley Cup Finals.
