While I am a Tiger fan, I can respect this. There are certain individuals I love to hate. Lonzo Ball being one because of his father. I hated Ronda Rousey and wanted her to get KO'ed. I hated Sergio Garcia. Watching them fail is enjoyable. It keeps me interested in their events. Some tune in to watch them win, others tune it to watch them fail. That's what happens in sports.
Unfortunately your right. Well said!
This is a big part of sports which this thread is obviously echoing.

And if fans are upfront about it as you’ve described and admitted to is fine. Then there’s no reason to conduct an argument or discussion wasting each other’s time.

LOL. 'He does suck right now'??? Ok guy, hope you enjoy watching those 'better golfers' because you just eliminated 96% of the entire field. Typical Tiger hater post.

(I absolutely HATE long posts but I think that this reply is definitely worthy of one.)

Typical Tiger lover post. Where are all those scorecards from when he wasn't even in sniffing distance of the leaders? How about all of those times he didn't make the cut? You kinda left those out.

Once again. "He came close this time! WOW!."

Is that all you got for Tiger in the last 5 years?

Oh, wait. He did win the Wells Fargo Pro-Am this year. That must've been rough playing in a field that had amateurs involved.

Again. Not hating on Tiger as a Golfer (even though he's just average now.) Just the media and Tiger lovers that won't stop cramming it down our throats every time he comes close. However, I do think Tiger is a POS as a person and it has been fine with me watching him do a total face plant.

Tiger, on the rare occasion, has warning track power now. Get back to me when he knocks one out of the park. ;)

I can say I respect Tiger as a Golfer. But as a person, he's a scumbag. So I have no problem whenever he falls down and eats sand in a sand trap.. That and the sports media and Tiger lovers wont shut up about him.

I get it.

Just like I wished for Zeke to get slammed for his scumbag behavior as long as I respect him as an athlete?

But his historic significance is relative. There’s no other story bigger in Golf than him chasing another major. Thats reality whether we like it or want to accept it.

Look at the crowds hovering over him. I realize not everyone is interested or embracing but why else do you think the media and broadcast are slobbering over Tiger.

Because he's famous for his past. That's about it for right now.

I've met many famous people here in Vegas. Who cares. People show up just to see him. "Wow! It's Tiger Woods." I had Dennis Rodman on the bar where I work for three days. Everyone else wanted his autograph. I never even said hello.

JAG. Just like Tiger now.

He’s an angel compared to Tiger.. right lol

Your not one of those Zeke lovers are you?

Funny how the tables can turn ..

Nope. I'm a Dallas Cowboys lover. Now that I have answered your question, you still haven't answered mine.

What was Zeke ever proven of doing wrong that makes him a scumbag?

Or are you just trying to avoid the question?

Your certainly entitled to your own opinion and perspective but most of the World would disagree. Alas the media and fan attention you despise.

I’m not going to hash over that. We obviously aren’t going to influence each other’s opinions.

"Hash" over it? You brought it up! You call Zeke a scumbag yet have no response?

Anyway, you're right. Let's get back to the topic of Tiger getting all that attention he hasn't deserved for a long time.

I was using that as an example to you saying you respect Tiger as an athlete but as a person think he’s a scumbag. But yea , I think Zeke is a scumbag. I don’t need a conviction to draw my own conclusions. What was Tiger convicted of?

Anyway back to the topic. How do you explain Tiger recieving all of the attention he is?

You figured it out. (Golf clap)

I don't need to hear about an average golfer every time he breaks wind on occasion (Which pretty much sums up his golf game the last 10 years). If you want to go sniff it every time he breaks wind, be my guest.

He’s an average golfer now but his historic significance is still newsworthy to most.

If the sports media want's to to talk about his historic past, that's fine. Talk about his history. I'm cool with that. Just don't ask me to join the next circle jerk whenever he just comes close to winning on rare occasions now.

Your not obligated to join in. But as long as he is competing for his 15th Major it’s going to be the top story.

It's going to be the top story for awhile then. Great, that's all I need. More coverage by the sports media for someone who is average now.

His last win on the PGA Tour was in 2013 at the, "Who gives a ****" Invitational.

Maybe he should sign up for another Pro-Am where there's more amateurs involved.

And I'll bet anyone here that I could beat Tiger Woods on a golf coarse with just a 9 Iron. Any takers?

Thanks for not giving me an invite to the circle jerk.though. :)

It’s better than some of these murderers , rapist, dog killers and domestic violence the NFL is churning out for role models.

Last time I checked cheating on your wife isn’t a crime. Some of the greats in Golf cheated on their wives and that list begins with the King. Infidelity on the PGA Tour is widespread. Always has been.

I’m not condoning Tigers behavior but Id argue he is still a role model for many and his comeback sets another great example in his determination and dedication he portrays which are fine examples to the youth.
His comeback???? From what???? Banging Pornstars?????

You can have him........I'll continue to watch him fail and laugh
