Yeah there is an underlying agenda with Tiger.

Many simply do not care for the guy.

Some of which is probably undeserved.

Some of which he created through his own personality quirks and mis-steps along the way.
I never liked the guy...... I was a Phil guy since I am left handed and my Dad was a huge Nicklaus fan so we always rooted against him

He had 12 Majors and 6 runners up in the 00's so we ate a lot crow then

Sponsorships are entirely different.

The personal issues he had were the icing on the cake for many... Simply because they didn't like the guy.

Partly due to reasons that go beyond this board.

But partly due to his own personality and mannerisms.

Is that fair?

Doesn't matter. Life is what it is.

Some are liked for reasons that puzzle me and some are disliked for equally obtuse reasons.
Agreed!

I have no problem with fans not liking Tiger but I do take issue when they let their personal preferences influence their evaluation of his historic significance.

And I have no problem in them complaining about all of the noise surrounding his return but when they can’t understand why the noise is occurring using these bias overtones and underlying agendas then I’m going to take issue calling it out for what it is.

About half the country is guilty of infidelity and why divorce rates in this country hover around 50%. Id argue many of those who haven’t committed adultry probably haven’t been tempted but that’s only an opinion.

In an era in athletics and sports where we have murderers, rapists, sexual abusers , domestic violence and drug abuse of all kinds being tolerated in society I find it very interesting we’d be so appalled with Infidelity which isn’t an unlawful act. But to each their own.

No, these attacks on Tigers morality is beginning to sound much more like an underlying agenda which Tiger has faced throughout his golfing career.

Everyone is entitled to cheer for or against whomever they choose but these reasoning or excuses is beginning to sound like justifying their bias. Like I said earlier. Hate who you want to but you don’t have to make excuses for it or hide your bias.

Since this was your thread and your a Mod who obviously can conduct themselves appropriately I decided to respond again but I won’t be taking the bait from any others here with their vitriol intent. Thanks

And 99.9% percent of the country aren't one of the greatest of all time high profile athletes who are being looked up to and should be a role model.

But he used to be great at golf. So who cares if he's a scumbag?

Yes, but that is a personal life issue. It shouldn't result in you losing your job or , god forbid, this sweet gig. I think, as a society , we have gotten way too involved in the personal lives of these celebrities.
You should see the skank Jimmy G is dating....... she is an older pornstar that has been around and is as wide as she is tall

I don't get these rich, successful athletes and celebs banging pornstars..... they have too much baggage and stigma.... I get the sex part but I would be too embarrassed to every show my face around my family

Find a nice girl like Romo did....not Jessica(even tho she was harmless)

The last time I checked, Adultery was still a crime. In most states it's just a misdemeanor. Other states consider it a felony. It's just rarely prosecuted.

He committed multiple crimes. 16-17-18......
Its a misdemeanor along the lines of a parking ticket. Though the parking ticket is more likely to be enforced. I guess you consider 80% of the country criminals since most everyone has gotten a ticket in their life.

If you get a ticket, you HAVE committed a crime. Add me to the list. I had to go in front of a judge because of too many tickets in a year. Guilty! Then again, I wasn't a famous golfer that got off the hook.

You said Tiger never committed a crime which is not true.

He came out in public only after he was finally caught. He wasn't sorry to his wife. He was sorry after being caught. If the tabloids hadn't caught him, He'd still be out there putting on a nice sweet grin for the public and getting laid while her back is turned. He's scum.

Not to mention he hasn't won a PGA Tour Event since 2013. I don't understand all of the Tiger love now.

"Hey, man! He used to be good and who cares if he cheated"

Spare me.

Ummm...Not sure where you live but I've never seen anyone walk a chicken down the street on a Sunday. And I lived in Texas half of my life as a kid growing up

Is it a felony to walk a chicken down the streets in some states? Hmmm? I know adultery is.

I guess Jaywalking isn't a real crime either, right? Try pulling it off here in Vegas. It's a $700 ticket.

But, like I said. earlier, I'm not a FORMER great golfer that could get away with it.

"It's Tiger Woods so it really wasn't a crime because he's my hero." Awesome role model ya got there.

Build a Tiger Shrine and pray to it if you want to. To each their own. Just don't expect those of us who know he's a scumbag as a person and know that he's just an average golfer now to have our own opinions. We don't want to turn on the TV and listen to how he "came close" or" almost made the cut."

As I've said in here already, I respect what he did as a golfer. He had a great run and was great for the sport. He's done now. But it has been enjoyable to watch him fall on his face after getting the snot kicked out him and crashing his car after he got caught cheating.

So historic significance takes precedence over being morally right? Maybe we should start a thread about Hitler.
