Vols landed in a hornets nest today at South Carolina
Spencer Rattler is on fire. Vols D looking porous…lol.

There been a few awful showings by ranked teams today, for sure. Both in winning and losing efforts

#1 Georgia trudged by Kentucky, 16-6.
#2 Ohio State outlasted Maryland, 43-30.
#3 Michigan dodged Illinois 19-17 with 9 seconds left.
#4 TCU escaped Baylor 29-28 on the last play.
#5 Tennessee got blown out in South Carolina.

What a strange November Saturday.

Michigan survived a tough game. Star running back Black Corum injured his knee. No structural damage. Just have to wait and see if he’ll be available for the Ohio state game...

How does the #5 ranked team Tennessee give up 60 plus to an unranked team?

He was ranked around 5th in most NFL draft QB rankings for 2023. I imagine he will drop a little with this injury and likely unavailable or limited for combines and pro-days.

SC is next in line for the Final 4 if a team falters or if either OSU or Mich gets blown out, so they could really play spoiler

i think its gonna be a great game.
riley has sc's offense rollin'...like at ou...but that defense gives up alot of pts...like at ou.
oline/run game is key for notre dame to pull the upset.

Late season losses to USC cost ND National Championships in 64 and 71. Time for ND to spoil THEIR season.

Rattler is an interesting player.
I fully expected him to leave OU for the SEC and jump into Heisman talk.
I was just a year off.
He may simply turn pro and take his chances that an NFL team will grab him in middle rounds and develop him.
But if he comes back and SCar gets him a WR in transfer portal he could end up a serious Heisman candidate next year.,

Ironically, how he plays versus Clemson may determine if he comes back.
If he really moves the ball on that stout defense than he gets a big boost in draft status.

Fans forget most 4 star and kids don't hit their prime as Freshmen and especially not at QB.
But that ranking often means natural talent that can be developed over time into a winning formula.
Rattler needed to get bigger, stronger, smarter.
And he has.

Interesting match up of offense versus defense.
I'm a slight lean USC here because you like the offensive ability to score late in games at near will with Caleb Williams.
But Notre Dame could clamp down hard and put it out of reach before Q4.

caleb williams can take over a game.
notre dame pass rush has to win that battle up front.
usc can't stop anybody...that plays to notre dames strength upfront and their run game.
te michael mayer is the best player for the irish...this needs to be his stage.
qb drew pyne...tho limited in over all ability...does well protecting the ball.
he's only lost 1 start and is very smart and he's tough.
usc does well generating turn overs so pyne needs to be smart with the ball.
the key for notre dame to pull the upset will be their ability to dominate on the ground and flip possessions thru their amazing sp teams punt block squad.
it will be there that notre dame ends usc's season.
run game.
and outstanding spec teams unit.
Go♧Irish!

Or Rattler just might have had his career game and he fades away....

If USC wins imo they get in over the loser of Mich/OSU.
Generally, a falling effect to immediacy of loss.
Also Michigan has had a really bad schedule.
I dont see Mich having enough offense to keep up with tOSU.

Also with Ole Miss losing yesterday the SEC looked even more ridiculously overranked in the CFP.
LSU will have played 3 teams in the CFP top 25 losing 2 and winning the other by 1 point in OT....

and FWIW I rather like LSU but they are currently insanely overranked because virtually every opponent they face is also overranked....

I really do not know about Michigan and Harbaugh. Seems like they have figured it out this year but I want to see what they do with OSU
AND by the way OSU's D is not very good
